Summer Quire is Here!
If you would like to sing with the choir, even if just for a season, consider joining Summer Quire. There is no regular Wednesday evening rehearsal in the summertime and the music becomes a little easier. Call or e-mail the music department at or 588-0589 for more information.

VBS Registration is now OPEN!

VBS is almost here! June 10-13, 6:00-8:30 pm each night. Dinner served each night. Our last night will feature dinner plus the Cruisin’ Cone Ice Cream Truck and a Water Slide. Click on the button below to register yourself as a volunteer or your child as a participant. Celebrating Ascension
Thursday, May 30, 6:00 pm

In celebration of Ascension’s feast day, a Eucharist service will be held on Ascension Thursday, May 30, at 6:00 pm. We hope many people can come out for this special occasion. The Ascension Schola will chant the special Gregorian Chant for Ascension Day.
Great Times with The Sisterhood
The Sisterhood had a great turn-out for their May outing to Casa don Gallo for a late Cinco de Mayo celebration! All women of the parish are invited to join The Sisterhood for their monthly outings. It is a great way to meet women of the parish. Make sure to put this coming outing on your calendar.

Tennessee Episcopal Churchmen Conference

Vestry Listening Sessions
We will be offering two more opportunities for members of the parish to attend upcoming Vestry Listening Sessions. The next dates on the calendar are:  Sunday, June 9th at 9:00 am and 11:30 am and Sunday, July 14th at 9:00 am and 11:30 am. These sessions were well-received and well-attended earlier this year and gave parishioners a chance to ask questions and express their thoughts. The Vestry is committed to being open and transparent with the entire congregation regarding issues that impact us all. We hope that you will take the opportunity to attend.
Host Homes for Kids on Tour
If you might be in a position to help with housing young choristers overnight on Friday, June 14, after the concert given by the Choir School of St. Peter’s, Charlotte, kindly contact the music department.

Due Dates for Publications

Bulletin and The Heavenly Post - Information for the weekly Sunday bulletin and email is each Monday at 5:00 pm. This will help us ensure that it arrives to each staff member in a timely fashion for publication.

Monthly Parish Paper - The deadline for the parish paper is the 15th of the month prior to the month of publication. (i.e. the deadline for the February issue is January 15th). The next deadline for the Parish Paper is July 15th for the August issue. Be thinking of your "Back to School, Back to Church" announcements and events.
End of the Year Summer Transition

This year's transition to the Summer schedule will be "soft pedaled" due to an overlay of events. Please mark your calendars for these dates.

  • Sunday, June 2, is the annual visit of Bishop Brian Cole. This is the last Sunday with services at 8:00 and 10:30 am. The Bishop will give a special presentation on the landscape of the Episcopal Church now and in the future. He will also preach at both services.
  • Sunday, June 9, will have services at 8:00 and 10:00 am, the “summer schedule.”
