Race starting lines/Bus info
Thank you to all the amazing Volunteers that make the race possible!

100 solo, 50 mile start line:

Location: Sinnissippi park, Sterling, Illinois

Time: 7:00 am

If parking lot fills up your crew will need to drop you off at front gate and leave.

Once cars pull into Sinnissippi Park, they can not leave until after race starts. The park clears out quickly. Make sure your crew knows this.

Getting a ride to the race start, PRO tip is to have your driver drop you off outside the gates, and head to the first crew access aid station. This will help them get a parking spot there. It is a short walk to the start line.

IMPORTANT .... you can not leave car at Sinnissippi park. The gates to park are locked after race starts.

Drop Bags

Size matters: Keep your bags a reasonable size/weight. 24 x 12 x 12 inches or smaller

Mark your drop bags with your:

Name

Race- 100, 50 , or 50k runner

Aid station number.

This information is important to help us get your bag where you need it and to the finish line.

Where do you leave drop bags?

Friday's safety/race meeting leave your bag on the tarp that is labeled for the station you would like it to go to at Friday's meeting.

You are welcome to drop off your own bags at stations if you forget to bring them Friday.

*Reminder- 100, 50 mile, 50k runners. Race day we will deliver drop bags to 50 mile finish and the 100 mile/50k finish line only.

Drop bags will be returned to finish line as aid stations close down. You are welcome to have your crew pick them up for you, or you can pick them up early.

IMPORTANT: Race start line will have a tarp to leave drop bags that will be taken to the 50 mile finish line and the 100/50k mile finish line. All other drop bags have to be dropped off on Friday night.

This is Jeremy. He is your drop bag dude. Please keep your drop bags a reasonable size so he can fit them into his delivery van. He will be assisted by volunteers Chris & Daniel.
Following the race course
Follow race signs and the course will be easy to follow.

  • The spot to pay the closest attention is going in and out of aid station 7 & aid station 15. We call this "Confusion Corner". We have not had problems there. Read the signs and you will be fine.

  • Look at the race course on map and understand the race course. On the out & back section of course. Be sure you head out going in the correct direction. LINK to course
  • Reading aid station page of website is helpful. LINK
  • There is a 100 mile turn around sign, and a 50 mile turn around sign. Make sure you turn around at the correct sign.
