Every day provides opportunity for each of us to grow closer to God, our loved ones, and our community. Are you taking advantage of the opportunities each day? I know that we can easily become overwhelmed by our circumstances. We focus on what we don’t have and what we can’t do. As believers, let’s allow our minds to be guided by the Spirit and live our lives in the freedom provided by Jesus. Set your mind on the Spirit today. Live in the truth found in Romans 8:6, “For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Last week, our Governor shared plans with us on how to best restart our economy and come out of the restrictions for group gatherings. We will continue to follow the guidance of our leaders and use wisdom and caution in our plans to gather for worship and community. I would encourage each of you to pray for our government leaders as they seek to guide us through this process. Pray of our church leadership as we decide how to best proceed, as well.
While we do not know the specifics our what our gatherings will look like over the next few months, we do know that we will strive to provide opportunity for worship and community in a safe environment. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates on events as needed.
Know that your staff dearly misses the opportunity to share life with you, and we cannot wait to worship together with you soon.
