A 22 year old black woman named Amanda Gorman
moved a nation and made her mark in history
on Wednesday, January 20, 2021
when she became the youngest inaugural poet.
As I watched her and listened to her words,
I couldn't help but think that she was
wise beyond her years.
Her eloquent poem embodies all that is
painful and precious
about the American experience.
