Peggy Koenig (2018) is helping provide kids with the essentials they need, free of charge. Ms. Koenig was named to the national board of Cradles to Crayons and will help strengthen and improve the scope of its services.

Richard Murray (2018) is lending his knowledge and expertise to advance cancer treatment. Dr. Murray will serve on the board of directors for Platelet BioGenesis, a company that is developing a new class of therapeutics to treat cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Haifa Al Kaylani (2017) is urging the next generation of food science and agricultural leaders to face challenges comprehensively and sustainably. Ms. Al Kaylani was the keynote speaker at the 2019 commencement for the American University of Beirut Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences. 

Thuli Madonsela (2017) says South Africa needs clarity of purpose as it charts a path for the future. Ms. Madonsela authored an op-ed arguing that the country must achieve a national compact that will ensure it transcends the complex shadow of its past.

Eduardo Elejalde (2015) is supporting efforts to develop an easy-to-use smartphone app for people with mental illness. In the latest newsletter from Mr. Elejalde's Natalia Mental Health Foundation, Dr. John Torous details his work to create the Mind LAMP app.

Marissa Wesely (2014) says governments and companies around the world have done little to address how the changing nature of work will impact women. Ms. Wesely co-authored an article in the Stanford Social Innovation Review on women and the future of work.

Dan Cunningham (2013) is targeting U.S. economic growth at the local level. Mr. Cunningham formed an institute to boost economic prosperity and is sharing his 'iron triangle' approach with communities around the nation.

Paul Irving (2010) is working to support healthy, productive, and purposeful aging. Mr. Irving, chairman of the Milken Institute Center for the Future of Aging, shared highlights from the organization's recent global conference in their latest newsletter.

Ray Jetson (2010) is helping African-American men deal with health issues and meeting them where they are: barber shops. Rev. Jetson launched "Hair & Health" and is partnering with barber shops in Baton Rouge to help African-American men monitor their blood pressure.

is helping social entrepreneurs scale their impact. Prof. Battilana and the Social Innovation and Change Initiative hosted its annual "Leadership for System Change: Delivering Social Impact at Scale" program in partnership with the Schwab Foundation.
 
ALI Executive Committee Member Frank Dobbin (FAS) says many workplace harassment programs aren't succeeding and that women's career growth is suffering. In a new article for the National Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dobbin questions the effectiveness of existing efforts and finds possibilities for a better way forward. 
 
ALI Founding Chair & Director Rosabeth Moss Kanter (HBS) is sharing the biggest mistakes companies make with corporate social responsibility. In a recent article for the Wall Street Journal, Prof. Kanter explained how companies often undermine their own corporate social responsibility efforts.
