Our Next Non-Directional Pattern

You've been introduced to our linear patterns, our wavy patterns, and other patterns that tend to flow in a certain direction. They're pretty straight-forward; they go either left to right, or top to bottom. You may even be familiar with our abstract non-directional pattern, 1NA®, which was introduced in 1960. Continuing the trend, in 1966, we introduced another.

...to no direction

In October 1966, we officially introduced our non-directional pattern 3ND. Available up to 48" wide, and available in all metal alloys, as well as powder coated to any color of your choosing, 3ND is a smaller, less-aggressive pattern that still provides the great benefits of deep texture.

The sample shown above is half-textured with pattern 3ND, and half non-textured stainless steel. A key was aggressively scratched over the surface of both sides, showing that the deep textured pattern, while definitely scratched, hides the appearance of scratches and other abuse.

Pattern 3ND, commonly used in architectural applications, hides the effects of high-traffic abuse, reduces the appearance of oil canning, provides controlled light reflection, diffuses light, and adds structural rigidity and strength, allowing for the use of thinner gauge materials.
