Join the Scientific Solutions Team of an integrated, full-service medical communications company based in New York City providing clients with scientific strategy and educational initiatives through a combination of scientific knowledge, strategic acumen, and creative expertise.
Responsibilities include
- Client and project management, including strategic input, for Scientific Solutions Department
- Creation and development of scientific content such as, branded and unbranded speaker slide decks, advisory board presentations and reports, and multiple types of digital content including, websites, MOAs, etc
- Management of project timelines
- Participation in internal and client status meetings
- Collaborate, as needed, with outside vendors/partners on PPT presentations, copy editing, graphics and animation development and other 3rd party vendors
- On-site responsibility for live programs, including slide review and reports
- Research for and development of proposals for new business, as well as participation in new business pitches
- Mentor, supervise and develop junior staff
- Submission of projects into Veeva for PRC/MLR review
Requirements include
- PhD, PharmD, or MD
- 4+ years of medical education agency experience (you must have this experience to be considered)
- Ability to be responsible for you projects/clients
- Experience creating outstanding scientific content, and providing strategic guidance to clients
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and professional presentation
- Experience with HIV is a plus
- Ability to travel to clients and live programs (approx. 20-25%)

GRANT WRITER (ONCOLOGY) - CONTINUING MED ED (CME)

As a Grant Writer you will collaborate with Oncology experts to identify existing practice gaps and underlying unmet needs, develop strategic grants (including proposed agendas and needs assessments) that align these practice gaps and unmet needs with innovative solutions to address these needs, and utilize internal and external resources to meet agreed upon deadlines for draft grants. Oncology experience is required.

- Knowledge of the rules and regulations overseeing medical education as well as familiarity with current trends in the industry.
- Adept at researching, compiling, and analyzing clinical and scientific evidence quickly.
- High-level editorial (writing and editing) skills and capability to adapt editorial style based on the educational format and/or the target audience (physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals).
- Expert at Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word); familiarity with GoogleDocs/applications, and content management systems a plus.

As Senior Medical Director, you will use your experience in CME and experience managing people, to serve as a player/coach for a team of medical directors and medical writers, who will report to you. This position will report to the Vice President, Medical Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Manages medical directors and medical writers in content strategy and execution for slide presentations, medical manuscripts, medical education monographs, case-based e-learning activities, newsletters, and conference coverage, as needed
- Provides high-level scientific input in planning/developing educational programming with key opinion leaders
- Interacts with internal and external stakeholders
- Keeps abreast of current data, trends, medical writing/regulatory knowledge, developments and important advances in therapeutic areas for which the company focuses its educational programming and proposals for grant funding
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES INCLUDE
- 6-10+ years experience in CME with the majority of that time at a CME company
- For Senior Medical Director: Management experience with an ability to lead, mentor and develop a team of medical directors and medical writers. For Medical Director: Management experience is a definite plus
- Advanced professional degree (MS, PharmD, MD, PhD) with at least 6 years of experience in Medical Communications or Pharmaceutical industry equivalent experience.
- Content development experience in non-oncology areas is required.
- Strategic understanding of the role CME has in the overall medical communication plan of pharma grantors
- Experience in major non-Oncology therapeutic areas
