A prolonged and painful struggle to find relief

The We CU community shares the experiences of people living with CU to help us learn from each other and manage this debilitating condition.

In this blog post, Lauren describes in her own words her struggle with the excruciating pain and inflammation of CU that at times left her unable to walk, and her journey to find treatment. She also shares how in the future, as a counselor, she will use her personal experience with CU to help others struggling with chronic illness.

Chronic urticaria story featured on popular "Symptomatic: A Medical Mystery Podcast"

Unable to sleep, shower, or even put on pants—and with no common trigger to explain the flare-ups—she endured for decades without relief. Then Kristen sought answers one last time.
