Indy revs up for PRI!
Sunnen brings performance-enhancing honing systems to Performance Racing Industry show.

PRI 2014 is set for December 11-13 in Indianapolis and Sunnen's Automotive Team will be on hand to demonstrate honing systems that have helped make hot rods "hotter" since 1924.

Sunnen offers the most extensive line of honing machines, tools, abrasives and accessories for the automotive engine building market, including the SV-10 and SV-20 cylinder honing machines (see article below), the CH-100 line hone, the SV-2410 precision vertical honing system and the LBB-1660 general purpose hone. Sunnen's engine experts, some of the most knowledgeable in the industry, will be on-hand to answer your engine honing questions at the Sunnen booth (#5101)

PRI features the latest in racing technology, and is the world's largest gathering of motorsports professionals. It is widely recognized as the annual epicenter of new racing technology, with displays of all types of racing products by over 1100 companies.

Sunnen SV-20 Honing System

Sunnen's two most popular honing systems for engine builders, the SV-20 and SV-10, will be featured at PRI 2014.

The SV-20 honing system, developed specifically for race shops, production rebuilders and fleet maintenance facilities, combines Sunnen's linear servo-stroking technology with the power and capacity to drive multi-stone diamond tools for OEM-quality bore geometry on automotive blocks and cylinder liners. The GH-series hone heads are the tools of choice for use with the SV-20 honing machine. Metal bond CBN or diamond abrasives provide fast cutting action and reduced cycle times. The GHTS two-stage hone head is a one-tool solution for both rough and fine honing operations, without changing stones, to reduce bore sizing costs. The GHSS single-stage hone head is also available for use with the SV-20 honing system.

Sunnen SV-10
Honing System

Sunnen's SV-10 Automatic Cylinder Hone combines the latest technology with the consistency and dependability of the legendary CV-616.

With two motors, one for the spindle and one for the stroker, the SV-10 runs standard Sunnen tools as well as Sunnen's new DH-series diamond hone head.

The DH-series diamond hones, with multiple points of cutting action, are optimized for the power range of the SV-10 honing machine. The DH-series provides rounder bores and a precision surface finish with crosshatch angle in each cylinder.

Introducing the Sunnen SH-4000

The SH-4000, Sunnen's newest, most capable rod hone, will be available in early 2015.
