When the line between a “PLAN” and Commitment is Blurred

Ah, it’s that time of year, no, not Christmas, but very similar, when politicians promise the moon or that they “PLAN” to attend the State Assembly Process, only to deliver a cow pie balloon, floating away with the hot air that blew it up. Do they think we're stupid? Or do they believe we are so dazzled by their teeth whitened to near-solar brilliance that we'll forget their words are as empty as Joe Biden's head?

Let’s talk about the grand old tradition of political flip-flopping, shall we? Oh yes, our candidates love to talk a big game. They stand on stages decked out in American flags, stomping their feet like they're auditioning for a part in Riverdance, telling us how they’re "for the people, I am grassroots!" And yet, somehow, the only “PLAN” that ever seems to come to fruition involves their list of excuses for why their “PLANS” changed.

And what about those ever-evolving “PLANS”? One day, it's all about Special Vacancy Election; the next day (well, 8 days later), it's all about "No, it’s not fair; I’m not participating." You are left with the feeling they just reached into your wallet with the finesse of a pickpocket on the 16th Street Mall. Oh, and let’s not forget the State Assembly promise. If I had a dollar for every time that was promised was made on a stage, I would almost have enough for a #1 at Mickey D’s!

I can’t speak for you, but I'm sick of politicians treating their platforms like a game of Twister, bending over backward to appease the people who count, the voters. Meanwhile, we're over here playing political Jenga, trying to pull out a log of truth without the whole tower crashing down.

So, let me say this: It's time we held these candidates accountable, yes, you, Deborah Flora. No more bait and switch. You face the facts with political spin to keep your base of “Forever Flora” peeps in place. Our patience is wearing thinner than the toilet paper in a Motel 6. Remember, folks, actions speak louder than words. Let's start electing doers, not talkers, people who stick to their plans like gum on a hot sidewalk. In the end, we don't need more political “PLANS” that change with the wind, we need commitments that are as steadfast as the Rockies.

Facing Backlash without Flinching

Fellow pursuers of truth, wisdom, and, dare I say, actual facts gather round. I come bearing tidings of reality, which, as you might have guessed, is not a universally appreciated commodity these days. But we, the strong true grassroot conservatives of Colorado, are not ones to shy away from a little unpopularity now, are we? I know I’m not.

It seems to me that the moment you start using facts to illustrate a position, you suddenly become the villain. You bring a sharp pin to the balloon party of delusions and pop hysteria ensues. It’s as if the mere act of articulating the truth is enough to send some folks scrambling for their emotional support animals.

Now, let's get something straight, when people’s cherished fallacies are challenged, their inner children throws a tantrum that could put a sugar-rushed toddler to shame. We need to buckle up and prepare for the backlash without flinching. When they start slinging mud, it’s because you, my friend, are doing something right. When they howl in protest, you’re probably over the target. So what do we do? We double down. We become relentless truth-speakers because, let’s face it, the truth is to social media outrage what sunlight is to vampires.

There's this cute notion floating around that truth is some sort of buffet where you can pick what suits your palate. “Your truth. My truth.” How precious. The idea that the truth is just a piece of clay to be molded into whatever shape fits our narrative of the day. As if truth is a choose-your-own-adventure book where facts are mere suggestions.

In the spirit of this 'enlightened' thinking, let me say: Sure, the truth exists for you and probably for the person sitting next to you, but heaven forbid it should be the same truth, right? Because that would be too easy. And it's fascinating how this truth suddenly becomes a flexible concept when we start merging hard facts with personal beliefs. It's like saying, “I believe gravity is just a theory, so I’ll kindly step off this cliff and expect to float.”

So here we stand, at the precipice, refusing to take the leap of faith into the abyss of relative truth. When they say seeking truth might be a distraction, I say it’s the only thing keeping us from intellectual oblivion. They call it a distraction, I call it the bedrock of civilization.

Therefore, my friends, let us not be deterred. Let’s be the bearers of truth, even when it feels like we’re salmon swimming upstream during bear season. It’s going to get rough, it’s going to get uncomfortable. But at the end of the day, we’re not in it for the applause or likes. We’re in it because the truth matters. Period. Full stop. The end.

Douglas County Commissioners Immigration Throwdown

All right, Douglas County, it’s time to talk about the elephant, and I don't mean our GOP mascot in the room. You've heard the news, our county commissioners and Sheriff Weekly are throwing down the gauntlet against those galling state immigration laws faster than a bull charges a rodeo clown at the Douglas County Fair. It's about time someone took the reins to allow local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE. Thank you!

But wait, hold your horses before you ride off into the sunset. This legal lasso may have caught the big steer, but what about the rest of the ranch? What about Castle Rock, Parker, and Lone Tree, where the only thing stopping a flood of illegal immigrants might be the stop sign at the corner of Main and Anywhere? We’re talking about the kind of deluge that’ll turn the Castle Café into Castle Chaos, and leave Parker so packed that the Saturday after-summer crowd at the Tailgate will look sparse.

So, while we tip our hats to the commissioners for this bold move, we’ve got to rally the troops because this ain’t a full-blown victory just yet. It's more like we've secured the barn door but left the corral wide open. We need a full posse-up with the mayors of these towns because if we're stopping the buses of illegals at the county line, we can't just have them rerouting to the scenic spots of Douglas County's picturesque towns.

Now, don’t get it twisted. We’re all for helping the down and out, but let’s keep it orderly, like the line at Home Depot’s Garden Center. We’ve got to protect our communities and ensure the resources we've got are going to those who’ve entered our great country through the front door, not those sneaking in through the back.

Commissioners, you've started the tune, now let’s make sure the whole band’s playing together. Before you do a victory dance and popping the champagne, let's have a little chit-chat with those town mayors. We need to make this airtight, like a good pair of Wranglers, for ALL of Douglas County.

It's like we've got the blueprint for a fortress to protect our community but left out the moat. Without full coverage, we’re just inviting trouble to picnic at our borders. We want to be proactive, not reactive, like preparing for a Colorado blizzard, you don’t wait until the snow’s knee-deep before you buy the shovel.

So, let's saddle up and finish what we started. Douglas County deserves no less. This ain’t just a step, but a leap in the right direction.

“How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy!”

"Tip of the Hat" 🎩 this month to Brandi Law Bradley HD 39"

Thank you for stepping up to help build a better Douglas County and Colorado. Your strong advocacy in the Colorado State House does not go unnoticed!

Do you know someone that works hard for the greater good? Send me a note with the person's name and why we should highlight them. I'll see about having them in an upcoming issue.

Keepers of the Flame of Freedom in Colorado

Douglas County, the stage is set, and it’s almost showtime. We’re all eagerly awaiting to see if our little nook will hold onto its conservative charm or get a makeover from the progressives that have moved in like roaches on a dark night. It's like waiting to see if your favorite TV show is going to get renewed or canceled.

But let's get one thing straight, we can’t go solo on this journey. We need the sort of leaders who don’t just talk the talk but walk the walk, preferably without stepping in the political muck. Leaders who, like nocturnal superheroes, can face the forces of darkness and bring us into a glorious, well-lit dawn. And let's not forget the leaders who seem to have written the book on 'The Art of the Political Brawl,' President Trump, taking on the establishment with the finesse of a prize fighter, all while sporting that iconic American First mantra.

It's not just about preserving a slice of Americana here, we're the keepers of the flame of freedom in Colorado. So, citizens of Parker and Douglas County, it’s time to strap on your debate helmets and charge into the fray, armed with the conviction of our forefathers and the indomitable spirit of internet meme creators. We’re not just keyboard warriors, we're digital-age minutemen, standing ready to defend our county, State, and Country!

We’re the chorus in this grand opera of democracy, and the next verse is ours to write. We can be the ones who stood tall, who backed leaders unafraid to tweet in the face of danger, and who kept Douglas County redder than the strips on old glory. Let’s do this, not just for ourselves, but for the generations to come.

And when our children ask, "What did you do during the great political standoff of our time?" we'll say, "We stood strong, we memed hard, and we didn't let freedom become the punchline."

God bless you, the tenacious defenders of our digital homeland. And God bless the server farms that keep America online.

God bless you, and God bless America.

Reflections, Tucker Carlson and the June 2024 Primary

As we sit during sunset in the shadow of the majestic Rockies, Colorado faces a cultural and political juncture that could redefine the state’s very soul. Tucker Carlson might dissect this scenario on his show, pointing out the stark contrast between the Colorado of old, a bastion of freedom and self-determination, and its current trajectory under the siege of progressive mandates.

Tucker Carlson's candid commentary draws attention to the consequences of abandoning time-tested principles for fleeting social trends. His observations are particularly relevant to the transformation we have observed in Colorado. Our pioneering spirit is increasingly shackled by policies that prioritize progressive collective narratives over individual liberties and success.

Carlson's critique of the modern political dialogue echoes across the towns and cities of Colorado. It's a dialogue that often feels disconnected from the realities of those who work the land, run local businesses, and cherish their faith, family and freedom to live without undue governmental interference. He warns of a future where the state's decisions are dictated not by the needs of its people but by a tyrannical political agenda that is out of touch with local values (our very own Colorado State House).

We find ourselves at a critical point where the Colorado spirit, a unique blend of the frontier spirit and respect for the rugged landscape, is being overshadowed by an oppressive narrative. This narrative, as articulated by those in power, seems to forget the contributions of individual Coloradans to the state's rich history and future potential.

It’s time to channel the directness of Tucker Carlson and confront the issues head-on. We must reaffirm our commitment to the values and principles of economic freedom, educational choice, and the sanctity of our constitutional rights. We must elect great leadership in the primary this June to Douglas County, Colorado, and DC:

  • Kevin Van Winkle County Commissioner District 3
  • Brandi Law Bradley, HD39
  • Bill Jack, HD45
  • Tim Arvidson, State Senate 2
  • Dagny Van Der Jagt, District Attorney JD23
  • Lauren Boebert, CD4

We must resist the allure of homogenized candidates that undervalue true conservative thought and keep us from rising to achieve greatness in our state and country.

Let’s stand together, drawing upon the wisdom of thinkers like Jordan Peterson and the analytical acumen of commentators like Tucker Carlson. Colorado’s future should not be left to the whims of those who do not share our grassroot conservative values and principles.

Our message is one of hope rooted in action. It is a call to every grassroot conservative to engage in the online and in-person public dialogue, to champion policies that reflect our values, and to hold our leaders accountable to the ideals that have long made our state a haven for the independent and the brave.

Join me in this pivotal era, not as bystanders in Colorado's story but as active authors of a narrative that remains true to the spirit of the West. We have the opportunity to write a future for Colorado that honors the legacy of liberty and leads the way for generations to come.

"I want Christians to consider who they vote for. We look a lot at the presidential elections. And that's where so much of our focus is, especially from the media, but some of the most important elections are the local elections - the mayors, city council members, county commissioners, school boards.

How important school boards are - and we need to get Christian men and women running for office.

We need Christian men and women not only running for office but voting and getting behind other

Christians that are running for office."

Selling Out Conservative Values under the

Guise of Pragmatism

As I meander through the curious maze of our grassroots conservative movement, I've stumbled upon an oddity that could easily rival the enigma of why socks disappear in the laundry (they are with all the Tupperware lids having a party). Here we are, the disciples of grassroots conservatism, left scratching our heads in wonder: “Why do those armed with but a thimbleful of conservative experience display an enthusiasm to advance our grassroots cause while some (not ALL) of our seasoned grassroots conservative veterans seem content to merely spectate or play on the Uniparty Team (you know who you are, and so do we)?”

Experience is not just a badge of honor, it's the compass that has guided our ship through many political storms. These veterans, our navigators, have seen it all, from the shifting sands of the political landscape to the treacherous waters of constitutional limiting policy. Yet, in a peculiar twist, it's the novices, those with untested mettle and a spark of determination in their eyes, who are stepping into the arena, ready to champion our cause with unbridled enthusiasm.

However, my friends, there is a silver lining, viewed through a lens of optimism (and a healthy dose of sarcasm). This situation, as inverted as it may seem, offers us a prime opportunity. Envision a coalition where the energy of the novice is perfectly balanced with the wisdom of the veteran. A coalition where experience doesn't just pass the baton but ignites countless new torches, each held aloft by a newcomer eager to learn and contribute to true grassroots conservatism.

But, and this is a significant but, we must tread carefully. For in our midst lurk the snakes in the grass, those Republican Establishment figures and RINOs all too eager to "mentor" our fresh recruits and turn them to the dark side, the Uniparty. Beware, for they come bearing the seductive promise of wisdom, yet their lessons are fraught with danger. Their aim? To indoctrinate our newcomers with tales of compromise, to barter away our cherished rights, and to dilute our core conservative values under the guise of pragmatism. "Danger, Will Robinson!" Should you hear them say, “It’s okay to raise taxes; it’s for the greater good.” You know that person is not part of the true conservative grassroots movement they are part of the problem with the Republican party.

We find ourselves at a crossroads, where the unbridled enthusiasm of our new recruits must be nurtured yet shielded from those who would steer them towards the treacherous cliffs of compromise and concession and the end of our Constitutional Republic. Our veterans are not merely guardians of our past but beacons for our future, tasked with the critical role of guiding these new voices towards true grassroots conservatism, towards an America First agenda that has no compromise on our fundamental principles.

To our seasoned conservatives, I say: The bell tolls for thee as a clarion call to action. Your wisdom, your experience, is the wall against the encroaching tides of compromise. To the newcomers, I urge you to keep the flame of your zeal alive but navigate the waters of activism with caution. The path to true change is fraught with both opportunity and peril.

Together, united in our resolve and vigilant against the siren songs of compromise, there is no fortress we cannot breach, no principle we cannot uphold. Let us march forward, not as separate battalions of the young and the old, but as a single, indomitable force for true grassroots conservatism.

"We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

Ayn Rand

Climate Crisis Gaslight

Let's cut through the BS, shall we. The climate crisis narrative, a darling issue of the Biden administration and the progressive drones, is less about saving the planet and more about a well-orchestrated cash and power grab. I'm calling this out for what it is: a spectacular display of hypocrisy and a masterclass in elitist manipulation and gaslighting.

Take the COP28 that was held in Dubai. It's not just a conference but a circus of contradiction. Over 70,000 attendees, the top of the global elite, jetted in, spewing the very carbon they preach against. The irony is so thick you could cut it with a knife. King Charles and others of his ilk were there, looking down upon us commoners. They could have used the marvels of Zoom, but no, they went for a good old-fashioned, carbon-heavy flight. If this isn't a slap in the face of every hard-working, common-sense individual, I don't know what is.

Let's not mince words about the host either, the UAE, a top-tier oil producer and the home of Hamas headquarters (the savages that killed 1,400 in Israel on Oct 7, 2023 and the US just gave them billions in in aid). The head of the conference, Sultan Al Jaber, is the same guy running the state-owned oil company. If that doesn’t scream conflict of interest, I'm not sure what does. This isn’t climate activism, it’s a grotesque comedy where the punchline is us, the ordinary citizens.

Then there's John Kerry (known in DC as Iran John), the US climate envoy, jet-setting around the globe in his private plane while lecturing the rest of us about our carbon footprint. His hypocrisy is so blatant and revolting. It's a classic case of 'do as I say, not as I do'; frankly, it’s an insult to anyone with a functioning brain.

And let's not forget the latest fad they're pushing, telling us to go vegan while they feast on whatever they please. They want us to swap steak for soy to save the planet. Here’s an idea, how about we don’t take dietary advice (or ANY advice) from people who think nothing of burning thousands of gallons of jet fuel for a photo op?

This isn’t just skepticism, it’s a call for some amount of sanity from any of our conservative leaders in this world gone mad with fabricated climate hysteria. The COP28 is a prime example of this madness, a gathering of elites who can't even follow their own rules. It's time we wake up and smell the emissions.

This climate crisis narrative isn’t about saving the world, it’s about controlling YOU and making billions in the process. And it’s time we stopped buying into this climate con, allowing Establishment and RINO Republicans to sell us down the sh!t creek, with or without a paddle.

A note on Deep Space

Are you planning a conservative event and in search of the perfect venue? Deep Space in Parker could be an excellent fit for you if you expect at least 80 attendees and plan on ordering food and beverages. While there is a minimum spend requirement, this should easily be met with a guest list of 80-100 people. If you're interested, please contact me, and I'll connect you with the owners of Deep Space to discuss further details.

So, a question you might have is, “Why Honey Badger”?

Honey Badgers have been described in the Guinness Book of Records as the "most fearless animal in the world" and can even fight off much larger predators like lions and hyenas if challenged. We know the political landscape is filled with hyenas, thus, we need the Honey Badger.

"You may think that I'm a confrontational jerk, and you may be right. But the confrontational jerk community serves an important purpose. No cultural battle can be won or has ever been won anywhere in the world without us.

You need us, whether you like it or not."
