Sponsored by Parker Conservatives

Each month I will strive to make updates to these topics and add new ones as they surface.

In this issue:

  • Liberty Scorecard for Douglas County Elected Colorado Representatives
  • Updated - Douglas County Commissioners on Banning Drag Queen Shows for minors
  • Updated Douglas County School District on Trained Armed Staff and SRO's
  • Douglas County School District CRT Training held on April 17, 2023
  • Douglas County School Board seats opening, election November 2023
  • Town of Parker makes WOKE changes to it's town logo

I truly appreciate all the kudos and love sent after the first report. YES, the report will keep coming each month. We need to use this report to drive change. Be it to drive a better-elected official into the seat or have the current ones understand we are watching and we will hold them accountable to conservative principles.

I did receive two emails on how I need to back off. The rationale was the Republicans in the State House are in the minority, and they are working hard.

Don't all successful people work hard? Do the most successful get a break? NO! Just ask Trump. I work 70 hours a week, and every 4 weeks, I get a report card, the companies P&L. I sit in front of my board, and sometimes it is love and kisses, and other times not so much. But I would never say, "but sir...I worked hard this period". The next day I would be on the street after giving that answer (excuse), and rightfully so.

Is criticism tough to hear, yup. It is all in how you take and digest it. You can get defensive, yell, make excuses, and brush it off or listen, reflect, and look to be better tomorrow. It is up to the individual and their own capacity for humbleness, humility, and putting aside their own arrogance.

One thing I know for sure, politicians really only listen to the loudest voices. We must be the loudest if we truly want change!

When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat.

I want to give a "Tip of the Hat" 🎩 this month to these outstanding individuals working to "Make America Great," starting right here in Colorado. They continually work social media and other avenues, encouraging citizens to engage our state representatives with written campaigns, calls, and in-person testimonies at the state capital.

Just think of the change we might accomplish if we all worked the issues as they do.

Do you know someone that works hard for the greater good? Send me a note with the person's name and why we should highlight them. I'll see about having them in an upcoming issue.

So, How Can I Help Too?

Political participation includes voting in elections, helping a political campaign, donating money to a candidate or cause, contacting officials, petitioning, protesting, and working with other people on issues. Civic Voluntarism working for your local party in your community is also another way to support your conservative beliefs.

Below is a message from our new Douglas County GOP Chair, Steve Peck. This is a great way to get involved or just learn about HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED.

Crista Huff will be training District Captains, PCPs, Activists, and Republican Voters (and repeatedly throughout the presidential election cycle). She'll give you plenty of ideas on how to Get Out The Vote, make an impact for issues and candidates who you care deeply about, and generally be an effective ambassador for the Republican Party.

Join the Douglas County Republicans on Saturday, May 13th, from 9-11 am (Arrive early. Prompt 9am start!) at the Highlands Ranch Library!

This month I took a deeper look into the Republican House Members that voted for the Democrat Chair for the Colorado House on January 9, 2023. I explored the Liberty score relationships with this treasonous act. I have also broken out the Senate. For our Federal Representatives, I am using the Freedom Index by the John Birch Society.

“Liberty Scorecard, Colorado" Click Here to see the Full Report

"Freedom Index, Federal" Click Here to see the Full Report

The first grouping is all of our Colorado House Republican members and Bob

Marshall, since he is in Douglas County, he serves as some contrast.

Information pulled on April 27. 2023

  • The average Liberty Score for those members that voted for the

Republican Chair, 71.9.

  • The *** before names are members that voted for the Democrat Chair.
  • The average Liberty Score for those who did vote for a Democrat Chair, 59.5.
  • Representatives that voted for the Democrat Chair scored 12 full points lower.

The question is, why are their scores 12 points lower? Not as conservatively

principled as their counterparts when it comes to voting? Could they be in the

pockets of special interests and lobbyists, so they are voting in a manner to

appease their keepers? Are they dealing away conservative principles for crumbs offered by Democrats that will not be meaningful?

I don't have these answers, only they do.

Tip of the hat to Kevin Van Winkle with an 82! All 3 Senators representing Douglas County lead their chamber! OUTSTANDING!!!

  • Lauren Boebert is on fire 🔥 with her score of 95.
  • Ken Buck is holding up there with an 83. I know Ken is controversial. With an 83, he is holding our flag high.
  • The lowest score by a Republican was a 29, Fitzpatrick PA (WTH, just change parties)
  • This highest score by a Republican was a 100, Rosendale MT (Nice!)

Update 5/1/2023

Not an once of movement on this issue from the County Commissioners. This is saying to the citizens of Douglas County, WE DON'T CARE if your children are exposed to pornographic acts in Douglas County. All I hear is the continuous droning of, "we will be sued." Well, listen up, Commissioners! I am currently interviewing attorneys for fee and pro-bono work to take a case against Douglas County, and it's Commissioners should ANY minor be exposed to a lewd or indecent act that you failed to protect them from. We have plenty of background that shows we have been continually requesting your help, and you chose not to act. Think about this for a while...

Ron DeSantis, governor of Florida, is posed to sign into law, a measure that would prohibit government entities and employees from issuing permits to organizations that may hold “adult live performances” in the presence of minors. It would also ban businesses from allowing minors to attend such performances.

Story from April 1

Our Douglas County Commissioners are still burying their heads in the sand when it comes to Drag Queen shows and our children in Doug Co. I could go on forever with these three and their weekly antics. However, I will stay focused on the topic at hand.....

Below is an email I sent on November 19, 2022, calling on our Douglas County Commissioners to put protections in place for the children of Douglas County. Since the Drag Queen show at the Fairgrounds on August 27, 2022, we have heard little from our Commissioners about putting safeguards in place. However, in Tennessee, they are making it happen and passed Senate Bill 3.

I find this strange, we have no cannabis shops in Douglas County “because we need to protect our children” I have heard this statement countless times. To my knowledge, we have no Gentleman Clubs in Douglas County, but Commissioners are okay with children under 18 years of age exposed to lewd acts as long as they are men dressed in woman's clothes.

November 19, 2022

Good Morning Everyone, we must not let the issue of protecting our children from pornographic performances in Douglas County fade (really any place in our Republic). Letting it fade into the background because our commissioners believe that is the best way to deal with a hot topic is not acceptable. Below is the draft Tennessee has put together to protect its children. I call upon Abe LaydonLora Thomas, and George Teal to model Douglas County’s protections in the same vain.

SENATE BILL 3 By Johnson SB0003 000187 - 1 - AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 7, Chapter 51, Part 14, relative to adult-oriented performances. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE: SECTION 1. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 7-51-1401, is amended by adding the following language as a new subdivision: "Adult cabaret performance" means a performance in a location other than an adult cabaret that features topless dancers, go-go dancers, exotic dancers, strippers, male or female impersonators who provide entertainment that appeals to a prurient interest, or similar entertainers, regardless of whether or not performed for consideration; SECTION 2. Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 7-51-1407, is amended by adding the following language as a new subsection: (c) (1) It is an offense for a person to engage in an adult cabaret performance: (A) On public property; or (B) In a location where the adult cabaret performance could be viewed by a person who is not an adult. (2) Notwithstanding § 7-51-1406, this subsection (c) expressly: (A) Preempts an ordinance, regulation, restriction, or license that was lawfully adopted or issued by a political subdivision prior to the effective date of this act that is in conflict with this subsection (c); and - 2 - 000187 (B) Prevents or preempts a political subdivision from enacting and enforcing in the future other ordinances, regulations, restrictions, or licenses that are in conflict with this subsection (c). (3) A first offense for a violation of subdivision (c)(1) is a Class A misdemeanor, and a second or subsequent such offense is a Class E felony. SECTION 3. This act takes effect July 1, 2023, the public welfare requiring it, and applies to prohibited conduct occurring on or after that date.

So how do we accomplish this? Each of you knows at least 10 people that will support this effort, and each of them knows at least 10 people. Get people on board with helping in this effort!!!

Tell them just what you think, speak from the heart. Ask them to protect the children of Douglas County, like in Tennessee.

George Teal is on board with crafting protections for children, modeling the Tennessee Senate Bill 3. But he needs one more vote.

Commissioners would like this whole topic to go away. I am willing to carry the banner, but I am just one person I need all of you to help.

CALL TO ACTION!

I want to flood the Commissioner's offices with 3000 calls and emails (1000 for each). The only way we will get action is to make ourselves heard!!!

Update 5/1/2023

Have not seen anything from the Douglas County School Board or Erin Kane on approving FASTER-trained teachers or adding additional SRO's. Just seems like other politicians, "We will just ignore this until it goes away". THIS IS NOT GOING AWAY! The safety of our children is not something we will bargain away!!!.

Story from April 1

A newcomer to the Honey Badger Report is Erin Kane with this train wreck of a reply:

Last I checked, she worked for the Board, and the Board works for us, the voters. Unless I missed something….

Kudos to Steve Peck, our new Douglas County GOP Chair, for sending his letter to Mike Peterson on the request for allowing trained teachers to carry firearms in schools.

If the following quote is correct, it is contradictory concerning comments Mike Peterson made at a Parker Conservatives meeting while campaigning.

“Board President Mike Peterson said a staff member with a concealed carry permit would not rise to the standard of training the district has for school resource officers, so he would not support them being armed in schools.”

At a Parker Conservatives meeting while running for the school board, Mike made comments to the group that he would endorse trained teachers carrying firearms and adding more SRO’s to Douglas County schools. He would just need to find a way to pay for those additional SRO’s. After making these statements, he received loud applause from the packed crowd.

If you believe we need trained armed staff in our schools and more SRO’s then you need to call!

Seems there is more clean-up that needs to happen in our DougCo schools. The link below is from a program that was held in Douglas County Schools on April 17, 2023. It would appear that it was at Thunderridge Highschool.

This was called a Cultural Celebration Conference supported by TRHS S.C.O.R.E.

You can't get more CRT than this agenda. Did not the Douglas County School Board make statements that they would NO longer allow this in our schools??? Maybe I misheard. Why is this allowed? And to add insult to injury, they bribed students with 5 hours of "service hours" for attending the 3-hour event. Reminiscent of people that bribe children into a van for candy or a puppy.

Click on this link for the full agenda.

Do you have an opinion on this? You need to voice it to:

Erin Kane, 303-387-0123, erin.kane@dcsdk12.org

Mike Peterson, 303-387-0258, mpeterson@dcsdk12.org

This November, there will be 3 seats open on the Douglas County School Board. You can bet that the Dems are already foaming at the mouth to win/keep these seats. AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR THAT THIS IS A NON-PARTISAN RACE.

  1. District A - Susan Meek (West Highlands Ranch)
  2. District C - Elizabeth Hanson (Central and South Highlands Ranch)
  3. District F - David Ray - term limited (Parker Area)

We need to find individuals to run for the school board with strong conservative principles. They also need to be willing to challenge opposition in allowing FASTER-trained (or equivalent) teachers to carry sidearms in school.

They also need a strong opposition to all things CRT that are still being allowed in DougCo schools. (see the article above)

Candidates need to live in the districts that are opening. The entire county will vote for all of the candidates.

If you are thinking about running, I would like to hear from you. Contact Mark Here

While on the Town of Parker website researching the KOA Tower land information, I came across something interesting. Seems the Town of Parker is looking to change its trademark.

Remember this?

I guess this is the oversight you get when this past November, you failed to elect strong, principled conservatives to the Parker Town Council. Now this could be some misguided staffer taking unapproved liberties with the Town of Parker logo, or is it something more??? Can you say Bud Light..... who signed off on this???

Let our Parker Town Manager know how you feel about this:

So, a question you might have is, “why Honey Badger”?

Honey Badgers have been described in the Guinness Book of Records as the "most fearless animal in the world" and can even fight off much larger predators like lions and hyenas if challenged. We know the political landscape is filled with hyenas, thus, we need the Honey Badger.

If you have a Parker or Douglas County topic that needs attention brought to it, please submit it to: Honey Badger Report, mark.hampton@comcast.net. I will review it and see about adding it to the monthly publication.
