Meal Outreach to Beacon Place Continues -
200 Family Dinners Delivered This Week
The Church Van is open every day from 8 am to 5 pm Monday thru Sunday for people to drop off food and paper products. It's parked outside the Jessen Office Building @ 117 Scranton in Lake Bluff. All the food we receive goes to Beacon Place or El Puente Latino, both in Waukegan.
Additionally, the Gorton Community Center in Lake Forest is continuing their food drive through May 29. You can drop food off between the hours of 10 and 4 each day. Thank you!
Lake Bluff signboards at Rt. 176 & Green Bay and Sheridan Road & McKinley put up by the Community Church to say "thanks" to Zach for his work and presence in our church & community the last 3.5 years.
No, we are not doing a rummage sale. The Presbyterians have a corner on that market, and that's OK. And we are not wanting to accept physical donations of anything other than food or bicycles. However, we do have some good stuff - most of which is at the office, for which we no longer have need. If you want to check it out, email John and we will set it outside for you to check out. And, double-best-of all - everything is available for a reasonable (or even generous!) donation to the Community Church, with the money being given to our local food pantry partners. Interested?
