| Friends & Colleagues I’d like to start a new series here on The Hotch Potch entitled “Confessions of a Novice Bookseller” Confession One – For seven months now I have been under the impression that these 29 copies of Jack Archer were a series akin to The Hardy Boys. Imagine my shock when Nick tells me they are all the exact same book by different publishers. Confession Two- I once worked at an estate where we threw out an entire dumpster of books from their library. Distraught at the idea of trashing all of these perfectly good books, I went dumpster diving and the only books I saved were $10 Easton Press books because I thought they were extremely valuable. Confession Three – Please don’t attack me for this one. I find Doves Press Books difficult to read. Impressive in their design, beautiful, but my poor little brain has to trace my finger word by word to not get lost. These are but a few of my naive mistakes as a novice bookseller. Stay tuned. Always learning, Noah | | |
