On a clear moonlit evening at the scenic Unionville Winery in Ringoes, the people of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and The House Next Door joined forces with New Jersey Angels to celebrate a mission rooted in faith, compassion, and unwavering support.

On March 13th, New Jersey Angels hosted a special fundraiser to honor Pastor Dale and The House Next Door for their shared commitment to creating safe spaces for children and families experiencing foster care. This evening served as a testament to the strength of community, as individuals came together to uplift and support those in need.

New Jersey Angels' mission is “to walk alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.” Their work ensures that every child and family feels seen, valued, and supported.

This partnership was born out of a simple but profound act of hospitality. During the height of the pandemic—a time when connection was difficult yet more necessary than ever—New Jersey Angels found themselves in need of a safe space to store essential supplies for foster families.

When they approached Pastor Dale for help, she responded without hesitation: “What do you need? We will come alongside to wrap you in support.” From that moment, a deeply meaningful bond was forged, uniting both organizations in a shared mission of care and service.

Through this ongoing partnership, The House Next Door continues to be a place of welcome, healing, and transformation. It is a wonder—and yet no wonder at all—that God led New Jersey Angels to Pastor Dale and The House Next Door at Prince of Peace, a home of true welcome and refuge. Pastor Dale has embodied the spirit of hospitality and grace, ensuring that New Jersey Angels can continue their mission of embracing foster children and families with love and understanding. As Pastor Dale shared at the event, the support from the folks of Prince of Peace is a true witness to God's love and care.

On this special evening, Pastor Dale and The House Next Door were honored for opening doors—not only to New Jersey Angels but to every child and family in need of a safe, loving space. Pastor Dale’s unwavering dedication, along with the support of the people of Prince of Peace, has strengthened the mission of New Jersey Angels and continues to inspire the entire community to respond with open hearts and hands.

Together, through faith and love, The House Next Door at Prince of Peace and New Jersey Angels are building a future of true welcome. This is the hospitality of gospel living, where every person knows they are beloved, cherished, supported, and never alone. This shared commitment is ministry in action—an invitation into God’s heart, where The House Next Door stands as a true sanctuary, a safe space and a place of grace for all who are seeking healing, wholeness, and transformation.

We enjoyed a delightful evening celebrating the partnership between the House Next Door and New Jersey Angels at the recent Fundraiser for New Jersey Angels. The mission of New Jersey Angels is to support children, youth, and families within the foster care community by providing ongoing assistance through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone from the Prince of Peace and House Next Door community who attended the fundraiser to support this meaningful program.

Music can provide a way to communicate our feelings, especially when we have no words for them. Since ancient times music has provided an international language to communicate joy, sorrow, praise, and community. We will explore and listen to a variety of music that can be paired with scripture, psalms, and the Christian community.
