Keeping Families Close
Olivia, Mom and Dad showing some love to our House therapy dog, Mac.
In March 2018, Olivia Bellamy was diagnosed with a malignant embryonal tumor — an aggressive and fast-growing form of cancer. For seven months, the Bellamy family called RMHCCIN home while little Olivia underwent treatment.

Today, Olivia is doing well and stopped by to see Mac, our Chief Cheer Officer and one of her best friends at the House.

We are truly the "House That Love Built" & it's thanks to the continuous support of our community that we're able to provide a "home-away-from-home" for families like Olivia's.
The Adopt-a-Room program is a year-long sponsorship of a room or continuing care apartment at our Limestone and Riley Houses. The program provides families with much more than just a roof over their heads — it helps to provide support, home-cooked meals and relief from their stressful situations. Most importantly, room partners are helping families focus on what matters most — their seriously ill or injured child.
Bob and Betty Coval’s daughter, Lynne, passed away from cancer a few years ago. She volunteered at RMH before moving to England, where she was diagnosed with cancer. Lynne returned to the States, and her parents sold their Florida home to move back to Carmel so they could be near her. Betty said they were blessed to have Lynne for five years after her diagnosis. She added that Lynne had great memories of volunteering at RMHCCIN, so they decided to make a donation in her memory.
