Landlord Appreciation Dinner

The Housing Authority of Champaign County recently hosted a Landlord Appreciation Dinner to recognize the hard work and commitment of our landlords. Their efforts are crucial to our continued growth and ability to provide quality housing to our community. We're grateful to everyone who joined us and to our sponsors, Roto-Rooter and ATS, for their generous support in making this event a success.

HACC Adds to the Team

HACC is thrilled to announce the addition of a new Career Specialist and Education Coordinator! Our new Career Specialist will work one-on-one with students to help them explore career paths, secure internships, and make informed decisions about their future. Our Education Coordinator will provide personalized guidance and support to ensure students graduate on time or even early. By working closely with students, our Education Coordinator will help them overcome obstacles, stay on track, and achieve their academic goals.

Community Outreach

Congratulations to Leon Hounnou

We're thrilled to congratulate Leon Hounnou on his remarkable achievements. As a recent SHIFT Program graduate, he earned over $14,000 in incentives and secured a $15,000 down payment assistance grant to realize his dream of homeownership.

Don't Miss Your Chance to Earn $34,000

Families at HACC's SHIFT Program have an opportunity to earn up to $34,000!

The HUD FSS Program empowers families to achieve financial independence. By offering financial incentives, case management, and supportive services, it helps participants increase their income, save for future goals, and break out of the cycle of poverty. Through this program, families can gain the tools and resources needed to build a brighter future for themselves.

HACC Annual Trunk or Treat

On October 30th HACC transformed its parking lot with trunks filled with candy and scares. The night was filled with spooky sights, silly sounds, and sweet treats. Children of all ages donned their most creative costumes, from adorable superheroes to fearsome monsters. It is always so lovely to see our community come together.

Washington Square Costume Contest!

HACC celebrated Halloween all month long, including a costume contest at Washington Square! Every costume was amazing, but Wilkinson put a spell on us and came out on top!
