WOOD LUMBER:
POWERING UP CAPE COD FOR GENERATIONS
People come and go. Businesses do, too. It's the natural rhythm of Cape Cod, like the tide coming in and going out. That's why a story about three generations running a business here for over a century is worth telling. Why, the Miskell family of Wood Lumber Company practically built Cape Cod...in more ways than one. They're also an important part of our story.  READ MORE

THE SEASIDE LEMANS: FAST, FUN AND FOR A GREAT CAUSE
This Formula One European style race is the ultimate FREE spectator sport for thrill-seekers. It's also one of the Cape's biggest fundraisers.  In 2001, we partnered with the Davenport Companies to create the Seaside LeMans charitable fund of The Cape Cod Foundation. Since then, the race has raised over $5.5 million. Last year, four local nonprofits received  a total of $300,000 from this exciting event. This year's beneficiaries are Cape Cod Healthcare, Lower Cape Outreach Council, The Massachusetts Audubon Society, Special Olympics of Massachusetts and the Cape Cod & Islands Major Crisis Relief Fund.

SAVE THE DATE: 4TH ANNUAL LIVE FOR LOU FUNDRAISER
This annual event celebrates the memory of Louie LeBart and raises funds for the Live for Lou Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation. The fund supports initiatives that combat the drug epidemic on Cape Cod through donations to Gosnold, The Community Development Partnership, and Calmer Choice.  It also provides three scholarships for local students each year: two to a Nauset Regional High School graduate joining a college/university team and one to a student pursuing a career as a substance abuse counselor. So, grab something at the raw bar and settle in for a very silent auction and very live music...for a very good cause.

THE ADVOCATES FOR A COMMUNITY COLLEGE EDUCATION
As you're sipping a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, sampling hors d'oeuvres by Chef Joseph and bidding wildly on auction items, you'll be helping local high school graduates attend Cape Cod Community College.  The ACCE scholarship fund was established with The Cape Cod Foundaton in 2012. Last year, the organization awarded scholarships to nine deserving students. The students also received extensive one-on-one mentoring at a critical time in their lives. You can help make a college education possible for more students--and have a great time doing it--by attending this year's event or donating to the ACCE fund.
