October 21, 2024 / Robert S. Hyer Elementary School

Dear Hyer Families,

It was a magical night at the Hyer Era Auction this past Friday! It was fun to visit with so many of you who were able to attend and celebrate this wonderful school year. My sincere thanks to Katey Plummer and Jayna DuBose who chaired our auction and recruited and supported countless volunteers. This amazing team worked together to make this Hyer tradition an incredible success. We are blessed to have committed donors, volunteers and supporters of Hyer's biggest event of the year!

As we get deeper into the fall season, flu season approaches as well. Thank you for reminding your child about the importance of washing his/her hands regularly. If your child is feeling unwell, please keep him/her home to prevent the spread of germs. Children must be fever free without the use of medication for 24 hours before returning to school. Let’s work together to keep our school community healthy!

As the weather gets cooler, we know how easy it is for jackets, sweatshirts and sweaters to go missing. Our Lost & Found is already filling up with water bottles and lunch boxes! Please make sure your child’s name is written on their belongings with a permanent marker and check the Lost & Found regularly to retrieve any lost items.
