October 27, 2025 / Robert S. Hyer Elementary School

Dear Hyer Families,

We are excited to see our students participate in this year's Red Ribbon Week activities and dress-up days throughout this week! We are grateful for your assistance in promoting healthy life habits for our students’ social, emotional and academic well-being.

Speaking of healthy habits, please help and encourage your little huskies to arrive at school before 7:55 a.m.. As everyone has become more comfortable with their school morning routine, we have seen a significant increase in the number of students consistently arriving after 7:55; instruction begins at 7:55 each morning. Some days, we have 20 or more students coming into school late. Being punctual not only sets a positive tone for the day but also ensures that our students don’t miss important information and activities. Punctuality promotes a lifelong habit of planning ahead and arriving to activities, events and work on time which is also aligned with our character trait of "responsibility" this month. The teachers and I are here to support you in any way we can to promote punctuality with our students.

Have a safe and enjoyable week, and enjoy the long weekend. See you next week on Wednesday.

Gratefully,

Debbie
