Dearest Hyer Families,
Happy Volunteer Appreciation Week! On behalf of the Hyer staff, I wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your invaluable contributions as parent volunteers and collaborators in the education of our Hyer Huskies. Your dedication and enthusiasm make a significant impact on our school community, and we are incredibly grateful for all that you do!
From organizing classroom parties and chaperoning field trips, to making copies, working in the cafeteria, volunteering at special events, greeting students, and opening car doors in the morning - along with other countless ways you give to our school - your time and effort do not go unnoticed. Your willingness to go above and beyond to support our students and teachers truly makes a difference in creating a positive and enriching learning environment.
It's inspiring to see passion from our parents about the education and the well-being of our children. Your involvement not only enhances the educational experience, but also fosters a sense of community and collaboration that is truly special. Thank you for being a shining example of generosity and kindness, and for making a lasting impact on the lives of our students.
Warm regards,
Debbie

A big HIGH FIVE to President-Elect Ellen Kershaw and her rising PTA board. This group ran three straight days of PTA Turnover meetings with ease, enthusiasm, and efficiency. It is safe to say…we have so much to look forward to next year! Way to kick things off!
A big thank you to Jen Lavelle and Lindsey Strawn for keeping the cafeteria volunteers organized and stepping in with an extra hand when needed. We greatly appreciate all of the cafeteria volunteers who allow us to feed so many kids efficiently every single day!
All the praise to Abbi Slagel! This girl CRUSHED the yearbook this year and as of last week…it has gone to print! This is an incredible feat, and we are so grateful for your unending efforts to pull this masterpiece together!
Let’s hear it for the home team! A round of applause to the amazing 2024-2025 PTA Board of Directors. These ladies knocked it out of the park — every single day, every single week. All of our kids and our beloved school. So much of their work is behind the scenes — but we SEE you ladies. Yall are amazing — the epitome of DREAM TEAM. Hugs and high fives to my girls: Ellen Kershaw, Jen Melson, Julie Meyer, Patty Georgeadis, Misty Wall, Lauren Palmer, Caitlin Laughlin and Brooke Messer. I would do this year one million times over with you by my side. - Ann
