Dear Hyer Families,
As we move into the heart of winter, classrooms are busy with engaging lessons, goal setting, and continued growth—both academically and socially. Our teachers are implementing new instructional strategies from our professional development day earlier this month. These strategies promote student engagement, a deeper understanding of concepts and challenge students to apply new learning across content areas. Nightly reading and practicing math skills are essential to each child's academic success along with a good night's sleep and a healthy breakfast. I am so proud of our students for demonstrating strong character, kindness, and perseverance each day. Their efforts truly make our school a special place to learn and grow.
Please remember to dress students appropriately for cooler weather, as we will continue to go outside for recess when weather permits. Don't forget to label jackets, sweatshirts, and the like. Thank you for your ongoing support with attendance, punctuality, and reinforcing school expectations at home.
We are grateful for the strong partnership we share with our families, Dads Club and our PTA. Your support makes a meaningful difference, and we appreciate all that you do to help our school community thrive. As always, please feel free to reach out if you have questions or need anything.
Warmly,
Debbie
