Dear Husky Families,
The staff and I were thrilled to welcome our students back to school last week and start the new year recognizing our Husky Heroes for the December character trait of empathy. We are incredibly proud of our students for demonstrating strong character each day.
With the arrival of some long-awaited cooler winter weather this week, remember to label jackets, sweaters and sweatshirts so that if they end up in the lost and found, we can return them to your child. Don't forget to label water bottles and lunch boxes as well.
The new year is a good time to review our arrival and dismissal procedures on the Hyer website, under "PTA", click here. Please, please, please for your safety, the safety of our students and to be a positive role model, do not cross in the middle of the street on either Caruth or Colgate. when picking up or dropping off your child(ren). We kindly request that you use the crosswalks and cross the street with one of our incredible crossing guards. Additionally, Kindergarten through Fourth grade parents going through the carpool line should not park in the queue line during drop off and pick up. Please allow your child to exit your car independently with the help of our Dads Club.
Happy New Year to all of you! Let's make 2026 our best year yet.
Fondly,
Debbie
