The International Law Section Gazette | | |
Dear colleagues and friends,
As we head into the final stretch of the Bar year, I hope you will make plans to join us in Orlando for two important ILS events:
First, please join us on Thursday, June 4, at 12:00 p.m. for our next Orlando Lunch and Learn, hosted by Holland & Knight’s Orlando office and featuring James Bacchus. Mr. Bacchus is one of the leading voices in international trade law and dispute resolution, and this program will be a wonderful opportunity to hear from him in a more intimate setting. We are grateful to Holland & Knight for hosting us and to Brock McClane for moderating what promises to be a timely and engaging discussion. There’s still time to register by emailing Whitney Jobson (wjobson@floridabar.org).
Then, a few weeks later, we hope you will return to Orlando for the ILS Annual Meeting on Friday, June 19, at 10:00 a.m., at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando. The Citrus Club is located at 255 S. Orange Avenue, Suite 1800, Orlando, FL 32801, about a 20-minute drive from The Florida Bar Annual Convention. This is an important opportunity to come together as a Section, reflect on what we have accomplished this year, and help set the stage for the year ahead.
And, of course, we will not let the Annual Meeting pass without a proper ILS gathering. Please also save the date for the Chair’s Reception the night before, on Thursday, June 18, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at ICEBAR Orlando, located at 8967 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819.
Whether you are attending the Annual Convention, coming in just for the ILS events, joining us for the Lunch and Learn, or simply looking for an excuse to see your ILS friends in Orlando, we hope you will join us. The Section’s strength has always come from the energy, generosity, and participation of its members, and I cannot think of a better way to close out the year than by being together.
Un abrazo,
Cristina Vicens Beard
Florida Bar ILS Chair
