ILS Chair's News & Notes

In a world of algorithms, hashtags and followers,

know the true importance of human connection.

Dear ILS Members,

One of the goals set by the ILS for this term is to increase collaboration – collaboration among our members as well as collaboration with lawyers around the world, who practice international law. As you can see from the photos below of our various events this week, the ILS did just that! We hosted a stellar CLE panel presentation that brought together practitioners from the US, UK, Spain, Brazil, Hong Kong, and France. We signed Cooperation Agreements with the Bar Associations of Milan, Bergamo, and Paris, which will facilitate collaboration between our respective jurisdictions going forward. We met with lawyers from around the globe to discuss issues that impact the practice of international law and our commitment to support and promote the uniform application of the Rule of Law globally. It was a wonderful week that was highlighted by meaningful personal connections to so many of our colleagues from around the world.

I look forward to seeing you next Thursday, November 10, at the ILS Orlando Luncheon.

Best regards,

Jacqueline Villalba, Esq.
