Credentialing Corner

IPN wants to share a couple tips related to the Work History section of our Universal Credentialing Application to ensure your application is processed as quickly as possible:
  • When entering past work history, enter both the "From" and "To" dates in MM/YY format.
  • When entering current employment, enter the "From" date in MM/YY format and enter the "To" date as PRESENT or CURRENT to indicate the practitioner is still employed.
IPN's accrediting body, the National Commission for Quality Assurance (NCQA), requires that both "From" and "To" dates be completed and not left blank. IPN will suggest a revision to the Idaho Medical Association (IMA) to clarify this requirement on the next revision of the Universal Credentialing Application.

Grant Funding for Gateway Integration
from IMAges Newlsetter 11-15-19

Hospitals and clinics who integrate to Gateway may be eligible to receive one year of funding for implementation and licence fees through a federal grant offered by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy (BOP). The BOP launched the Idaho Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) which allows prescription and pharmacy data to be shared with existing electronic medical record and pharmacy dispensing systems. This data sharing allows providers quick and easy access to information within one system.

For additional information about funding or integration, contact Teresa Anderson (Idaho Board of Pharmacy): 208-334-2356 or
