A Beacon of Hope:

Violeta's Story of Resilience and Dedication

From growing up in foster care to facing homelessness as a single mother of six, she turned her struggles into a mission to provide quality child care in Medina County. Starting her own family child care business in 2007, Violeta has been a beacon of hope and support for countless families.

Mission Moment: Parent Youth Ambassadors (PYAs)

As part of a new Ohio Department of Children and Youth initiative, the Early Childhood Resource Center (ECRC) recently added a pair of Parent and Youth Ambassadors to the ECRC staff. Parent and Youth Ambassadors are a part of Ohio’s Child Care Resource and Referral network and serve as connectors, guiding families through challenges related to child care, foster/kinship care, adoption support, maternal wellness, homelessness, and more.
