The Importance of Effective Signage for Your Businesses

In the bustling and competitive landscape of small businesses, especially in a vibrant and diverse city like Chicago, the significance of effective signage cannot be overstated. Signs are often the first point of contact between a business and potential customers, making them a vital part of any marketing strategy.

Why Effective Signage Matters

First Impressions Matter

Creating a lasting first impression is crucial to grab attention and communicate your brand message to passersby who may be potential customers. A well-designed sign speaks volumes about the quality and professionalism of your business, encouraging people to step inside. Whether you own a trendy boutique, a local coffee shop, or a service-based business, a sign that aligns with your brand identity helps build trust and establishes your business’s presence in the community.

Increased Visibility

Businesses operating in high foot traffic areas can get lost among the larger stores or crowded streets. A strategically placed sign can increase your business's visibility and make it stand out. Whether you’re tucked in a corner or right on a busy street, effective signage is your best marketing tool to make sure that your business isn’t overlooked. Bright colors, creative designs, and clear messaging can help attract the right attention.

Cost-Effective Marketing

Marketing budgets can often be tight. Signage offers a cost-effective way to promote your business 24/7. Unlike paid advertisements or social media campaigns that require continuous investment, a well-made sign is a one-time investment that provides long-term benefits. It can serve as a silent salesperson, drawing in customers day or night. Ask us about our lease options that make your sign pay for itself!

Directional and Informational Value

Clear directional signs can help customers find your entrance, navigate through your store, or locate your specific services. This is particularly helpful for businesses located in large buildings, malls, or complex neighborhoods. When customers don’t have to waste time looking for what they need, they’ll appreciate the convenience, making them more likely to return.

LEASE YOUR NEXT SIGN!

100% Financing
There is very little money down with leasing - typically the first and last month's payment are due at the time of lease signing. Since a lease does not require a down payment, it is equivalent to 100% financing.

Leasing is Fast & Convenient
Leasing allows you to add equipment or upgrade equipment under similar terms. Leasing can also allow you to respond quickly to new opportunities with minimal documentation. Credit decisions are usually made same day.

Tax Benefits
The IRS does not consider an operating lease to be a purchase, but rather a tax-deductible overhead expense. Therefore, you can deduct the lease payments from your business income. Also, because lease payments are treated as expenses on a company's income statement, equipment does not have to be depreciated over five to seven years. Ask about Rule 179!

Improves Cash Flow
Lease payments are historically lower than loan payments, hence conserving cash for other uses. Also, by leasing equipment you know the amount and number of lease payments over the life of the leasing period, so you can accurately forecast cash requirements for your equipment.

Manage Obsolescence
A lease allows equipment to be returned to the lessor at the end of the lease term. You can then upgrade equipment without having to manage disposal and other ownership burdens. The risk of getting caught with obsolete equipment is lessened.

Balance Sheet Management
Because an operating lease is not considered a long-term debt or liability, it does not appear as debt on your balance sheet, thus making you more attractive to traditional lenders when you need them.
