Have you heard the phrase - "the fortune is in the follow-up"?  It means that regardless of the type of business you are in...follow-up is the key to success!  Studies show that it takes an average of eight contacts with a prospect to finally convert a lead into a sale.  So if it is so important, why do so many people not follow-up?  Usually it is due to lack of time.  In this newsletter I want to discuss the importance of following up with clients and prospects.

Top 5 Reasons to Follow-up with Customers:

  1. Customers like knowing what your business is up to - sending out a newsletter on a regular basis is one way to stay connected with both existing clients and prospects.  It allows you to share information on your business - new products, promotions, awards, testimonials, etc.  It keeps YOUR brand top of mind! 
  2. It is good to be proactive - sending out a reminder email..."just checking in..." is usually enough to trigger their mind about something you can help them with.  A quick email will remind them that your business is still there and can help them!  Maybe check in with a customer to see if they were satisfied with something you recently sold them or to see if they have any projects you can help with.
  3. Always nice for your customers to feel like you are thinking of them! Just the notion of following up with a client can make them feel special and appreciated.  Sometimes this alone is enough to separate you from your competition and lead to a sale.  Think about your own buying habits - when you feel appreciated by a business, you are more likely to buy product/services from that business.     
  4. Customers like a deal!  Offering some type of promotion or incentive to your loyal customers can also be enough of a reason for them to purchase.  Perhaps a client was thinking about making a purchase in the next 6-12 months...your offer may push them to react sooner!
  5. Staying present in their minds helps your brand! Most customers are not going to purchase from you simply because they purchased from you before.  You need to stay in touch so they think of you - otherwise they will simply go to someone else.

100 Women Who Care Uxbridge

White Glove Virtual Assistant is proud to be a supporter of 100 Women Who Care Uxbridge.  They are a group of 100 women in Uxbridge who care about local community causes and who are committed to community service.  They gather for just one hour every three months and at each meeting jointly select a local charity or not-for-profit organization and write a $100 cheque (per person/team) to the selected organization.  At the inaugural meeting November 25th, 100 Women Who Care Uxbridge raised $8,200 for Sunrise Pregnancy & Family Support Services.
