The IncuHub Surpasses 250 Members!
The month of August saw a huge milestone for The IncuHub, as our membership officially surpassed 250 businesses! Started in 2019 with relatively modest expectations, The IncuHub has seen tremendous growth over the past six years, now counting two locations serving the Southside and the Peninsula, 20,000 square feet of space, and - yes - now over 250 member businesses!
The reason is simple: with low costs, all-inclusive pricing, flexible month-to-month memberships, beautiful facilities, amazing amenities and events and - most importantly - a robust, diverse community of business owners, The IncuHub is the premier place to start or grow your business.
We're thrilled to be home to over 250 businesses who have decided to make Portsmouth or Hampton their home base and contribute to the local economy and support the local community. We look forward to continued growth during the coming months and years as we work to increase our presence in the region and serve even more businesses.

Summer Internship Program in Portsmouth Concludes with a Special Visit
As we've noted in this space throughout the Summer months, The IncuHub and our member businesses were thrilled to host over 10 High School students from Portsmouth Public Schools for an immersive, engaging eight week Summer internship program.
The program concluded earlier this month, and the students had the opportunity to present their summer internship project to their employers, enjoy a celebratory lunch, and were treated to a special visit from Portsmouth Mayor Shannon Glover. The Mayor spent nearly two hours meeting and having lunch with the students, and it was a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn from the Mayor's experience as well as for the Mayor to hear feedback directly from some of his youngest citizens.
A special thank you to Mayor Glover, to Herman Smalls III and VA Repair for providing lunch, to all of our member businesses who hosted interns, and most importantly, to the students, who made the summer so meaningful.
Thanks also to Courtney Hundley and Portsmouth Public Schools for making this program possible. We look forward to another successful internship program next summer!

The IncuHub Participates in Hampton University Events
Being an active member of our community - and a good neighbor - is an important priority for The IncuHub Team, so we were thrilled to have several opportunities to support Hampton University, (literally) our next door neighbor, during the past month.
On August 6, we participated in the Grand Opening of Hampton University's Workforce Development Enterprise. This exciting new initiative is comprised of three centers dedicated to entrepreneurship, innovation, vocational training, and skilled trades. This new initiative is especially exciting for The IncuHub - there are many opportunities for collaboration, as students who participate in these programs are natural entrepreneurs and may ultimately start their own business.
We were also excited to participate in a Welcome Back Cook Out at Mill Point Park, where we were able to join other community leaders in welcoming Hampton University's students back to campus for the Fall semester.
We're proud of our relationships with our community and neighbors, and look forward to opportunities to work with Hampton University in the future.

Member Spotlight: The O'Brien Law Firm
Crystina O'Brien and The O'Brien Law Firm were the original members of our Hampton location - in fact, they were at The IncuHub's building before The IncuHub! When we purchased 101 Eaton St in 2023, The O'Brien Law Firm was already a building tenant. They were eager to stay as we renovated the building and opened The IncuHub, and they have become a wonderful addition to our community.
Crystina O'Brien is a trial attorney with over thirty years of legal experience. Crystina started her legal career on active duty as a United States Army lawyer, and has developed a reputation over the course of her career as a tough, aggressive, and effective - yet also compassionate - advocate for her clients.
Today, her firm specializes in criminal, family, and military law. Although headquartered at The IncuHub in Hampton, Crystina serves clients throughout the greater Hampton Roads region, on both the Peninsula and the Southside. She is willing to travel to any courts in the surrounding area for the right case.
Crystina served in the armed forces with over eight years in active duty and four years in the reserve forces. In addition to serving her country, Crystina also believes strongly in giving back to her community and helping those who do not have the resources to hire their own attorney. To that end, she is a longtime member of the court-appointed attorney list, which the courts use to assign effective counsel to citizens who cannot afford legal representation. She also works with legal insurance providers to accept clients who use insurance to help cover their legal expenses.
Crystina is an incredibly effective attorney who is respected across the Hampton Roads legal community, and she and her Team at the O'Brien Law Firm are wonderful members of our IncuHub community. Thank you, Crystina and Team - we're thrilled you're a part of our IncuHub family!
