Business Resource Fair & Open House and Business Connection After Hours Come to Hampton on October 30!

The IncuHub is thrilled to be co-hosting two events in Hampton on October 30!

From 1 to 4 pm, we will be co-hosting the Second Annual Business Resource Fair and Open House at The Hampton History Museum. This year's event, co-hosted in collaboration with Hampton's Department of Economic Development, will feature representatives from a several government and private organizations whose role it is to support small businesses. The event will also feature breakout sessions facilitated by the Hampton Department of Community Development, Small Business Development Center, and Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity, as well as a special welcome from Hampton City Manager Mary Bunting and Vice Mayor Steven Brown. The event is perfect for business owners and entrepreneurs interested in learning about the many resources available to them across the region. The event is free and open to the public, and guests may RSVP here.

Following the afternoon event, we are excited to co-host - in collaboration with the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce - a special Business Connection After Hours event at The Hampton IncuHub. Guests will enjoy appetizers and drinks and have the opportunity to network with business owners and professionals from across the community. It is free for Chamber members to attend and $15 for non-Chamber members. RSVP is required.

We hope to see you at both of these exciting events!

Member Spotlight: Kela Belfield, Bardot Logistics and Aspiration in Life Home Healthcare

IncuHub Member Kela Belfield is a true entrepreneur and trailblazer in the local business community, with ownership roles in not one, but two businesses that are headquartered at the Portsmouth IncuHub.

Kela is the owner of Bardot Logistics, a comprehensive logistics services company that specializes in logistics planning and management, transportation arrangements and general freight transport, warehousing and storage, and logistics consulting. Founded in 2020, Bardot is family owned and operated and is certified as a women-owned minority small business.

Kela is also the co-owner of Aspiration in Life Home Healthcare, which specializes in providing quality healthcare services in the comfort of their customers' homes. Their services included skilled services, personal care, and companionship, and they serve communities throughout the Hampton Roads region.

In addition to being a successful business owner, Kela is an active member of The IncuHub community and was featured in our new videos. She appreciates the space and amenities The IncuHub provides for her growing businesses, as well as the many support services The IncuHub provides to help its member businesses grow and thrive.

We appreciate Kela and her Team for being such great assets to our community and are so glad they've chosen The IncuHub as their home!

IncuHub Members Give Back

Giving back to our communities and helping those in need has long been a priority for The IncuHub and our Members. On the morning of September 11, members of the IncuHub Team and volunteers from our member businesses went to OASIS Social Ministry in Portsmouth, where we spent the morning stocking the food pantry and preparing a hot meal for our neighbors in need. At lunchtime, OASIS opened their doors to the community, and we were able to serve a delicious meal to over 50 guests. This is just one of many ways we work to give back to our communities and give our member businesses a chance to do so as well.

Speaking of member businesses giving back, IncuHub Members Devoted Hands Healthcare and Next Generation Home Care are sponsoring a Food Drive to from now until October 20. Donations of canned and non-perishable foods can be dropped off at The IncuHub's Portsmouth location at 100 7th St, and will be donated to help Seniors in our community.
