Happy March Everyone !

This semester, I have began working on the marketing team for Hidden City Music Festival to increase social media efforts, distribute information about the concert to students, and sell tickets. I love everything about the entertainment industry and am very excited to be part of this experience during my last semester of college.

I am extremely grateful for Del and The Perfect Game Foundation for the immense support and helping me grow both personally and professionally. With the Perfect Game Foundation, I am still Publisher for the Inside Pitch and Tournament Director for our 11th annual golf Tournament. I am very excited about the Tournament this summer and I look forward to seeing you there!

Happy Spring Everyone!

This is my second semester here at Ole Miss and it has been nothing short of amazing so far! Most days, you can find me in the office working with On-Campus Football Recruiting. I love working here and learning the ins and outs of a D1 football program. I hope to stay in the college sports atmosphere in the future. Going forward, this summer I am in the process of looking for an internship that's close to home and I am excited to see where my search leads me.

I am forever grateful to be a part of TPGF! Recently, I have been learning from Carleigh and assisting her with this year's 11th annual golf tournament. She is so charismatic and helpful toward me and is truly a great mentor. Thanks to TPGF I have created new relationships and connections all around the sports industry.

In Her Own Words

Avery Weissman

Graduating college is both exciting and stressful. The job market is a difficult place to navigate.

With the help of Del Wilber and The Perfect Game Foundation that stress associated with job

hunting has dwindled.

The consistent line of communication and support has strengthened both my motivation and confidence to make that next step in my career. Deciding to pursue a career in sports and marketing fulfills my passion for both creating relationships while instilling my love for sports.

That being said, the job market is heavily saturated with people competing for positions in this area. It is important to recognize that although you may feel overwhelmed or intimidated by the process, don’t be. It is vital that during the application process you look outside yourself and job sites to connect with others. Taking that extra step to call or email someone may just be the door you needed to open to kickstart your career. That advice is exactly what landed me my current Fellowship with the Los Angeles Dodgers. A phone call that I expected to be just another connection ended up being the beginning of my career.
