Adirondack Visitor Center Eyed for Northway

QUEENSBURY >> Plans are in the works for a more than $1 million visitor center welcoming travelers to the Adirondacks.

Groundbreaking is expected next spring for the facility, located at a rest stop on the northbound side of the Northway, just over the Saratoga County line between the Hudson River and Exit 18.

Plans call for interactive displays, kiosks, regional photos, an electric vehicle charging station, a Taste of NY exhibit touting New York foods and a boat wash station for people headed to Lake George.
