What is the THINK Manufacturing Career Showcase?
The THINK Manufacturing Career Showcase is a daylong event that offers instruction in skillsets that manufacturers stated that they were looking for in their employees. Over 700 9th Grade students will participate in industry ran hands-on skill sets throughout the day. The six skill sets that are featured include teamwork, problem solving/troubleshooting, continuous improvement/lean/quality, machining trades/blueprint reading,
mechanical/electrical trades, and robotics and automation.
As a volunteer you will be in charge of a group of approximately ten students. Duties include: Keeping group together, moving stations, asking question prompts to keep students engaged. Volunteers will need to be able to stand/walk for the majority of the 6 hour day. Light Breakfast and Lunch will be provided.
