Sandusky-Seneca Counties Complete a CEDS
The Sandusky County Economic Development Corporation and Tiffin Seneca Economic Partnership partnered with BGSU's Center for Regional Development to create a plan for economic development and resilience. The plan is called a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and was developed over 18 months. It identifies the region's strengths and weaknesses and sets goals and strategies for economic growth. The CEDS makes the region eligible for funding from the Economic Development Administration (EDA) and sets it up to become an Economic Development District (EDD) in the future.

Sandusky County Receives Funds for New EMS Building |
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur has successfully secured $637,195 in Congressional appropriations to construct a new Sandusky County EMS building on East State Street. The old retail space, which was initially planned to be retrofitted into the EMS building, will be converted into office space for county offices that have yet to be determined. Due to the extensive renovations required, the Sandusky County Commissioners have decided that it would be more practical to build a new structure on the same property for the EMS facility. Currently, the final cost of the new building is unknown as the bidding process is still ongoing. If the bids are accepted, the groundbreaking is expected to take place by the end of summer.
