Night at the Museum (NATM) is a 2-day VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) Signature Event at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. Professional Branding Webinar!
On December 5th NOVA SySTEMic is hosting a FREE professional branding webinar entitled Top 10 Professional Ways to Market Yourself Online. This interactive webinar can teach you how to utilize LinkedIn and other social networking platforms to highlight your education and work experience. The Webinar will run via Zoom from 2pm-3pm. Register by Dec 2nd.

NOVA STEM Day at AL Campus - Dec 7
NOVA STEM Day Alexandria a showcase of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math run by NOVA SySTEMic at the NOVA Alexandria campus on Dec 7th from 10-3pm, featuring exhibits, hands-on activities, workshops, and fun learning opportunities for students of all ages. It's free!

We have great volunteer opportunities for NOVA faculty, staff, and students. Volunteers will receive lunch vouchers and a NOVA STEM Day T-shirt.

NOVA Career Exploration Fairs chart CTE/Tech Pathways
This month two NOVA Career Exploration Fairs (on the Annandale and Woodbridge campuses) saw hundreds of high school and college students interact with NOVA faculty and students in order to gain better understanding of NOVA's CTE programs and what they have to offer for their future. Sign up for the next Career Faire at NOVA Loudoun in spring 2020.

Fab Lab Opening Soon!
NOVA’s NEW Fab Lab will be opening January 13th, 2020! A Grand Opening Week is being planned with a host of activities for students, staff, and community members. The Fab Lab will support NOVA’s A.A.S. in Engineering Technology with a focus on mechatronics and “Smart Factories.” The technology available include mechatronics systems...

STEM Camp 2020 Watch
On STEM Camps for summer 2020 are in early stages of planning, but we will offer the usual options including Robotics, Cybersecurity, Coding, Rocketry, and more. Registration will be available on our website in Jan 2020 for camps running June thru August. We are Northern Virginia Community College's (NOVA) STEM Outreach Program. We do STEM Camps, STEM Competitions, STEM Expos, Teacher Professional Development, STEMinars and more! #WeDoSTEM

Our mission is to develop a sustainable STEM pipeline in Northern Virginia. We engage students in elementary school and inspire them to continue pursuing STEM education in high school, college, and the workforce through a collaboration with schools, businesses and community organizations.
