Fall Fun is Here!
This is such a great time of year at Hubbard Woods School. As the leaves start to turn, the PTO looks ahead to some of our annual traditions, which we hope you will plan to be a part of.

October 26th is our HW Social (formally  known as Parent-Teacher Party). In past years it was held in early February. This year, we are moving it sooner, hoping to take advantage of some nice fall weather and give new parents a chance to meet other parents right away. Book your sitters and get ready to have a fun night mixing with HW parents and staff.

November 2nd is our annual Fall Luncheon, which parents are invited to attend and some teachers attend as well. This year, prior to the lunch, attendees will be entertained by the famous Barbara Rinella, giving a theatrical book reading. This long standing tradition is always a fun time.

Also in November, we'll put on our annual Book Fair, which is a great early holiday shopping opportunity and raises money for our beloved school Resource Center. We'll need lot's of helpers to work at the Book Fair, so stay tuned for a sign-up.

In the meantime, we're rolling out a World Traveler's Lunch for the kiddos, along with our usual Pizza Fun Lunches. And, we'll do a Grand Receipts Challenge in November (one of our easiest fundraisers) -- so hold onto your receipts from The Grand until then!

If you have any questions about the PTO, or how you can help at HW, please reach out!
We also love to hear any  constructive  feedback or new ideas:

Our PTO Green Committee Needs Your Help In the Lunch Room!
We're looking for parents to help our school's Compost and Recycling efforts. Click Here to sign up for a lunch slot.

Please contact Elizabeth Leonard at if you are interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity.
A Green Reminder
Please turn off your car engines while waiting in the school drop-off and pick-up lines. Especially at the main entrance, car exhaust collects near the front door and gets sucked inside. We can reduce this hazy, toxic air by honoring our school's year-round policy of NO IDLING in car line. Thank you for doing the right thing and turning off your engines.
