YCP HACKS IN THE CLASSROOM

As part of their Engineering Capstone Design course, five York College students have taken up the task of building, from scratch, a brand new YCP Hacks website.

Ralph Greaves '23, Kayla Hunt '23, Derek Ile '23, Josh Kopelcheck '23, and Brady Carbaugh '23 didn't know each other when they began the project, but have put their collective talents to work to create a professional-grade, functioning website in just one semester. J.D. Brown Center staff and the YCP Hacks student organizers serve as the clients, directing the team as to what functionality is required, as well as setting deadlines.

The team will continue their work in the Spring Semester, adding functionality and improving design, so that the site is ready for use in the Fall of 2023.

Along with the Knowledge Park, the GCCI will bring together local business leaders with York College faculty and students.

Both a physical space to work together on York College's campus, and a conceptual space where academic / business partnerships are valued, the GCCI uses project-based learning courses, faculty research, and high-level internships to prepare tomorrow's business leaders.
