USF was Xiomara Montes Gil’s top choice for college. Born in Lima, Peru, she is focused on becoming the first in her family to graduate college and work in finance. After completing the JP Morgan Global Finance Internship program in 2021, she was offered a full-time job there after she graduates this spring. Logan Steele, an assistant professor in the School of Information Systems and Management, had the article titled “Organizational Underdog Narratives: The Cultivation and Consequences of a Collective Underdog Identity” published in the Academy of Management Review.

 

Lin Jiang, an assistant professor of entrepreneurship, was the featured speaker at a T2U Innovation Series webinar about integrating NASA’s technology portfolio into the class curriculum.


Dipayan Biswas, the Frank Harvey Endowed Professor of Marketing in the School of Marketing and Innovation, was featured in a National Public Radio segment titled “Tipflation: Why you’re not alone if you’re being asked to tip more often.” 


Russell Clayton, an assistant professor of instruction in the School of Marketing and Innovation, was quoted in a Tampa Bay Times story about a Tampa company moving to a 4-day workweek and a WFTS-Tampa Bay news segment on work-from-home jobs.

Erica Ward (‘93, BA, Marketing) is happy to share that she has a new role as a manager of customer success at Zignal Labs, a SaaS-based media intelligence software service company.


Sehrish Ladhani (‘17, BS, Accounting, ’18, MACC, Accounting) is excited to announce that she has started a new position as a lead senior auditor with the Florida Auditor General. She is a former USF Muma College of Business 25 Under 25 honoree.

USF alumna Kamila Khasanova ('20, Sport and Entertainment Management) created a new mobile app called peabj that matches students with their academic peers with similar skill sets.


The idea is to connect people with complementary skills so they can grow together.


Khasanova created and designed the app with Jordan Murti. The pair launched the app in November 2022.


"We believe that learning or improving on an academic subject or skill should be easy and fun," she said. "We wanted to create a place where students can improve while making new friends."
