SERVICE DEPARTMENT

Happy New Year. 2024 has arrived and the Service Department is ready for the winter weather to begin. Our Maintenance Department has readied all the snowplows and our Salt supply, estimated at approximately 1400 tons on site. When traveling on ice and snow covered roadways remember to give the plow truck room to do their job. The Service Department continues to perform maintenance and repairs to roadways as the weather permits. Also continuing with ditch maintenance and culvert replacements.

The Service Department is still accepting Snow Barricade requests and have been out installing them as they come in. Residents may order their Snow Barricade by filling out the Snow Barricade Application. The cost for the barricade is $50 and the Service Department provides the labor to install them.

As the winter weather arrives, we remind residents and motorists to plan for longer travel time when the weather conditions worsen and to slow down and move over when approaching crews working along the roadways. The Service Department reminds residents with any questions or concerns to contact us at 440-350-3225 or email at tbrown@concordtwp.com.

FIRE DEPARTMENT

Christmas Tree Recycling

Many of us are still enjoying festive lights and decorations on a Christmas tree. When your tree gets dry it is time to remove it from your home – a dry Christmas tree can burn very hot and very fast. Keep your home fire safe as you enter the New Year by recycling your Christmas Tree.

Through January 22, Lake Metro parks offers drop off locations at several of their parks. For specific drop off locations, visit: https://www.lakemetroparks.com/news-updates/christmas-tree-recycling/
