Nutrition and Aging Resource Center

Continue to Connect!

Wow, it has been a BUSY summer! We all know conferences line up, month after month, from May to September. It’s easier to travel with nicer weather, but sometimes we can get burnt out with extra travel, additional work responsibilities and just life in general. Take some time for YOU; connect with yourself and others. This may mean extra time outside gardening, taking a walk, or grabbing dinner with the friend that you keep thinking you need to get together with.

Speaking of connecting, the Nutrition and Aging Resource Center team spent time together in Denver, Colorado, last month for the National Association of Nutrition and Aging Services Programs (NANASP) conference! We toured two of Denver’s top meal site organizations and held an in-person workshop for State Units on Aging. Other events included the NANASP Directors Training and Innovations in Congregate Meal Programs. The annual conference itself highlighted many amazing presenters on the work each are doing, focused on older adults and nutrition.

I hope you can find additional ways to connect with yourself and others throughout your work. If you need additional resources, visit the NRCNA website for more ideas, or just shoot us an email to talk more.

Stay healthy!
