Fall Committee and Subsection Training and Trustee Meeting
In-Person at Campbell's Lake Chelan, September 29-October 1
We are very excited to announce that after two years of waiting we are finally having an in-person officer training for section volunteers!

Please join us for the 2021 Fall Committee Officer Training and Trustee Meeting to be held September 29 - October 1 at Campbell's Resort on Lake Chelan.  Find out what being an officer of a section committee or subsection entails: what are your responsibilities as an officer and what tools are available to you to keep our members engaged, informed and excited about our association!

While we would hope that everyone would attend in-person, we know that some of you may have concerns about gathering together or do not have the support from your employers to travel. On our registration form there is a box for you to check if you would like to attend virtually. If there is enough interest from all of you, we can provide this service. It won't be the same as meeting in-person but its the next best option. Just check the box on the registration and let us know.

2022 Section Conference in Tacoma
In-Person April 27-29, 2022
Mark your calendars now for next year's Section Conference to be held IN-PERSON at the Tacoma Convention Center April 27-29, 2022.

Imagine three days of networking and training all IN-PERSON! The 2022 Section Conference will kick off just like years past with our golf tournament and pre-cons on Wednesday. Thursday will consist of training, vendor show and hospitality events in the evening. Friday we will close out our conference with a full day of training, an awards luncheon, trustee meeting with gavel passing and a closing night reception for incoming Section Chair Michelle Cheek.

The conference abstract window opens this month. Look for future information on this via the Conference Program Committee and on our website in the next few weeks.

As 2021 starts to wind down you will find information on sponsorships and the technical program start to pop up here in the e-newsletter and on our website. Registration will go live on Tuesday, January 4, 2022.

ACE21 Goes Completely Virtual
It's Not Too Late to Register!
AWWA has announced that it is transforming its 2021 Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE21) into an all virtual event from June 14-17. Registration for ACE21 All Virtual is now open.

We want to keep you up to date on the
CEU process. As you know, many ACE sessions, when in-person, are submitted
for CEUs in the host and nearby Sections. Since virtual requirements for CEUs can
differ greatly from one area to another, the Conference & Events (C&E) team has
included language on the ACE21 page encouraging registrants to become more
familiar with their local requirements.

C&E, in coordination with the Education & Technical Services (ETS), are working to
finalize the sessions that will be submitted for Operator CEUs, and in which
Sections, by early May. Anyone who attends an entire session will receive
a certificate of participation. Please note a certificate is different than a CEU.
ORWARN Conference In Newport October 20-22
Registration is Now Open
Don't miss the 2021 ORWARN Conference this October at beautiful Agate Beach in Newport, Oregon!

Prepare/Respond/Recover includes planning for different scenarios. At this conference there will be presentations on a wide variety of topics applicable to drinking water and wastewater systems including Cybersecurity risk information and tabletop exercise. Expect a couple of presentations on how to prepare a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) that will be aimed at systems from small community to large utilities.
Golf Tournaments Planned for Summer
Registration is Now Open!
COVID knocked out all our Section wide golf tournaments in 2020. This year our members are ready to get back out on the fairway and show off their golf skills or in my case a lack there of.
