With holy solemnity I write today's sermon.
While standing at attention, with my hand over my heart, I watched in reverence the incoming President, Vice-President, Gold Star mother, and wounded military veteran lay a wreath at the Tomb of the UN-Known Soldier.............................
It is an EXCITING time to be alive!!!!
I do not know if anybody else experiences the same JOY I experience DAILY at the PRIVILEGE of AWAKENING.
It, the AWAKENING, always surprises and BLESSES me. I have the JOY and PRIVILEGE of having a surviving daughter-age 44-severely handicapped and a dear wife, a cancer survivor, and now a 17 year old granddaughter residing under my care and tutelage.
It is an HONOR, JOY, and PRIVILEGE to serve God, my family and YOU UNDER God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am STUCK/HUNG UP/FIXATED on the Apostle Paul's Holy Words:
Philippians 2:5 (KJV)
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
In fact, I am STUNNED into holy silence with the enormity of this TRUTH!!!!!
I also am stunned at the mere words of Pastor Rick Warren in his book, THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE.
The opening words are:
“ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Beloved, this life here on earth is NOT about me, me, me/you, you, you.
It is NOT about material acquisition, personal gratification, awards, championships, degrees, political victories.........................

I am a sports FAN and sadly, also a political junkie@#$?????
I AM SICK OF BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No man OR woman is gonna “fix” this world and I could care less who wins sport championships-I AM SICK of the endless platitudes being bestowed on mere people-HURRAH FOR OUR SIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What matter much more is:

He never acquired any mansion on earth:

I say/write this today for this sole reason!!!!

TODAY, YOU-YES YOU-are a HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God sees YOU-YES YOU-weary mother who FRETS and WORRIES over your precious babies-no matter if them “babies” are well advanced in age!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God sees YOU-beleaguered man of the house-eating a plain white bread turkey “meat” sandwich on the job site while your spouse and children dine sumptuously!!!!
FORGET THE MEDIA “STARS” AND POLITICAL hEROS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THEY have their “reward!@#$???”

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

TODAY, beloved, what YOU do in SECRET God sees and God REWARDS!!!!!!!
TODAY, I can see Heaven's grandstands assembled, Heaven's Choir all in place!!!
I can hear the chariots rumble
I can see the marching throng
And the flurry of God's trumpets
Spell the end of sin and wrong
Regal robes are now unfolding
