1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 (KJV)
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Greetings from the home of the WORLD CHAMPIONS ATLANTA BRAVES!!!
I watched-often times in tears-as the city of Atlanta and Marietta, the real home of the Braves-celebrated with an all day parade and award presentation.
Atlanta, much like Chicago, has suffered through too many years of sport defeat, need I remind any football fans with the numbers 28-3??????
As I watched in shock and awe at the wholesome jubilation of these amazing young men, I was reminded of an oft repeated story.
A lonely and worn out OLD missionary was on a ship traveling back to his home in America from a far away country.
As they neared the shore, he noticed a huge crowd of excited people awaiting the ship's docking. He turns out the President of the United States was on board that same ship and thousands were gathered to welcome him home.
He suddenly realized that he had no one on shore excitedly awaiting his return nd his heart was saddened.
He had spent his entire life in the service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and here he was at the end-no one seemed to care or appreciate his long years of faithful service.
It was then that God spoke to him. “My son, you are NOT home yet!! This world is NOT your home!!! Wait till you see what a celebration I have planned for you upon your arrival in Heaven!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

All the builders' tools are silent
Work on earth is all suspended
As the King comes thro' the gate

Those whose lives have been redeemed

Heaven's grandstand's all in place

As I began to remember the words of the above ancient song, my heart was filled with praise and worship as I thought of my homecoming someday.....................
Shortly thereafter, I went for my “daily” walk and as I walked I thought and meditated more deeply of that DAY.
I fondly recalled my VISION past of seeing my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ being the very first Person to greet me upon my arrival in Heaven and the joy and relief to see Jesus holding my precious departed grandson Connor in His arms.
I saw further into my VISION-the FACT that behind my Savior were my mom and dad, Devin and Wendy, and a HOST of friends and loved ones I so miss today.
Can YOU hear it??? Can YOU see it?

WHAT A DAY THAT SHALL BE WHEN OUR JESUS WE SHALL SEE.
WHEN WE LOOK UPON HIS FACE THE ONE WHO SAVED US BY HIS GRACE!
WHEN HE TAKES US BY THE HAND AND LEADS US TO THAT PROMSED LAND
WHAT A DAY GLORIOUS DAY THAT SHALL BE.
