This morning, Friday, May 22, 2026, we celebrated Field Day! Our students had the opportunity to participate in a myriad of activities, such as Tug-of-War, Potato Sack Race, Water Slide, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, Jump Rope, and more! At the end of the day, we did our traditional Water Balloon Toss with the teachers, and we all got wet! 🍨🎂🍭🎉🎊🎈

Thank you to the parent volunteers, teachers, and staff who made today possible. A very big thank you to our PE teachers, Coach Morrison & Coach Letvak, for leading Field Day and planning activities for our students. Enjoy the long weekend, Knights! 💙💛💙💛

Make-A-Wish Fundraiser by Kindergarten

This morning, Friday, May 22nd, right before our Field Day activities, our kindergarten classes with their teachers and parents organized their annual muffins & juice fundraiser to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and thanks to your generosity, the students collected $729.00!!! Thank you for your support of this great cause! 💙💛

6th & 7th Grade MS Field Trip to Williamsburg, VA!

Last Monday & Tuesday, May 18-19, 2026, our 6th & 7th grade students and chaperones traveled to Williamsburg, VA, for their MS Field Trip. The students had a great time learning about Colonial Williamsburg, ghost stories, and lots of fun at Busch Gardens💙💛

BSS Alumni Walks the Halls!

Last Wednesday, May 20th, at 1 pm, our BSS Class of 2022 came back to our Main Campus to walk the halls one last time before heading to college! Many of them are going to STREAM-related careers! Great job, BSS AlumnKnights!💙💛

3rd Grade Class Visits the Planetarium

Last Thursday, May 21st, Mrs. Alonsabe & Mr. Vickery's 3rd Grade students visited the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center at he Univeristy of NC at Chapel Hill. The students and parent chaperones had an amazing time stargazing and learning about planets and stars. Thank you, BSS families, for making this possible for our students.💙💛

1st & 2nd Grades Visit the Zoo!

Last Thursday, May 21st our 1st & 2nd Grade Students visited the NC Zee at Asheboro, NC. BSS Families and their teachers traveled to the zoo and had a wonderful day seeing all of the Animals from Africa and North America. Thank you for making today possible!

Eggs Hatched!

Since Monday, our Kindergarten students have been witnessing eggs hatching! We would like to thank Jeannie Spears, grandmother of our students Shannon (8), Caroline (5), and Sabrina (K) Taylor, for providing the eggs and incubating equipment for our students to see.

Kindergarten Last Day in the Playground

Last Thursday, May 21st, was our Kindergarten class's last full day at Blessed Sacrament School. They will prepare for their graduation next Wednesday, May 27, at our Lady of the Angels Center 💙💛

***All athletes must have their "Athletic Permission and Emergency form for 2025-2026" and the "Athletic Physical Form" completed at the time of their first tryout/practice or they WILL NOT be able to participate. No exceptions.***

The NC Opportunity Scholarship will open up for new families until funds run out. If your family is renewing the scholarship, please do not miss their deadlines. Do not forget to request a new scholarship for an enrolling K-8 sibling.

Please review the 2026-2027 Tuition Rates for the upcoming school year, and there will be no increase in tuition! If you believe that your family will need a scholarship, please apply for an NC Opportunity Scholarship, which will open applications for new families on February 2nd, 2026. Elementary School Parking

Just a friendly reminder: If you're late dropping off your child at 515 Hillcrest Ave. Campus, please use our parking lot and walk your child to the entrance. The Burlington Police Department has started issuing parking tickets for vehicles parked after 7:45 am. Hillcrest Avenue is now included in the ABSS School route, and we must keep the street clear since they cannot navigate around your parked vehicle.

If you're coming to drop off lunch, kindly park in our parking lot or across the street from our Elementary School Campus, ensuring you do not block any driveways. The trash truck cannot pass through if your car is parked there during lunch, and you risk receiving a parking ticket as well.

Estacionamiento de la Escuela Primaria

Un recordatorio amistoso: si llega tarde dejando a su hijo/a en el campus de 515 Hillcrest Ave., por favor use nuestro estacionamiento y acompáñelo/a hasta la entrada. El Departamento de Policía de Burlington ha comenzado a emitir multas de estacionamiento para vehículos estacionados después de las 7:45 a. m. Hillcrest Avenue ahora forma parte de la ruta escolar de ABSS y debemos mantener la calle despejada, ya que no pueden sortear su vehículo estacionado.

Si viene a dejar el almuerzo, por favor, estacione en nuestro estacionamiento o al otro lado de la calle e campus de la Escuela Primaria, asegurándose de no bloquear ninguna entrada de vehículos. El camión de la basura no puede pasar si su auto está estacionado allí durante el almuerzo y corre el riesgo de recibir una multa.

If you are bringing lunch to your child, please make sure it is labeled with your student's name and grade level and leave it on the table just outside the front door of the school--Do not forget to buzz the office to let us know you dropped by.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
