Happy Birthday BSS! 🍨🎂🍭🎉🎊🎈

Today, Thursday, September 24th, our school marked its spectacular 91st birthday celebration! The festivities kicked off at 10 am with our Little Knights enjoying their own festive party complete with lively music and energetic dancing! Below is a video of a song created by Mrs. Marcella Vendura, mother of Evelyn (2) and James (PK). 🎼🎶

Following that, at 1:30 pm, our Elementary School students gathered in the Multipurpose Room for special birthday photos and delicious cupcakes, with Middle School students hosting their own exciting party at 2:00 pm. The entire day was a fantastic Out-of-Uniform Day celebration! We enjoyed delightful cupcakes from Paul's Pastry Shop, while students, faculty, and staff all donned festive birthday hats to mark the occasion! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated parent volunteers and staff members who made this wonderful celebration come to life 💙💛

Remember, Knights, there's no school tomorrow. If you've registered for Day Camp, we'll see you there! Enjoy your fantastic long weekend, everyone!

El jueves 24 de septiembre, nuestra escuela celebró su espectacular 91.º aniversario. Los festejos comenzaron a las 8:00 a. m., cuando nuestros "Little Knights" disfrutaron de su propia fiesta, amenizada con música animada y bailes llenos de energía. Más tarde, a la 1:30 p. m., los alumnos de primaria se reunieron en el salón de usos múltiples para tomarse fotos especiales de cumpleaños y degustar deliciosos pastelitos, mientras que los estudiantes de secundaria celebraron su propia y emocionante fiesta a las 2:00 p. m. ¡Fue una jornada fantástica en la que no hubo obligación de llevar uniforme! Disfrutamos de unos pastelitos exquisitos de Paul's Pastry Shop, y tanto alumnos como docentes y personal lucieron gorros festivos para conmemorar la ocasión. Expresamos nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a los padres voluntarios y a los miembros del personal que hicieron posible esta maravillosa celebración 💙💛

Esperanza Festival 2026

Blessed Sacrament School invites you to the Esperanza Festival 2026! It will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Downtown Graham, NC, from 12:00 - 8:00 pm. This is a family-friendly event where everyone can enjoy music, food, dances, and tabled community resources for families. ¡No te lo pierdas! 

We will have a table at the event, so come say hi!

Little Knights Community Helpers

Mrs. Tonya and Ms. Corradini have been doing an awesome job teaching our Little Knights students all about community helpers and different types of transportation. To make learning even more fun, they've brought in special speakers every morning this week as part of their lessons. We'd love to give a big shout-out to our parent volunteers: Nurse Practitioner Tyffany Nyland, Police Officer Leahey, Police Officer Taylor, and Chef Albert Hernandez from Pregos for taking the time to visit us this week! Your visits made a real difference—our students and teachers had a fantastic time learning from each of you.

Eye Screening/Evaluación de la vista 👓👁️🧑‍⚕️

Two certified eye technicians with over 10 years of experience from the Cleveland Clinic will conduct vision screenings for students in grades K-8 on Monday, September 28th. 

This vision screening is NOT a comprehensive eye examination and does NOT diagnose eye diseases or vision disorders. It is a limited screening intended to identify students who may require further evaluation by an eye professional. A student may pass this screening and still have an eye or vision condition that requires diagnosis and treatment.

NJHS Induction Ceremony

Last Wednesday, September 23rd, we celebrated our National Junior Honor Society Induction (NJHS) Ceremony. Becoming a member of the NJHS means a middle school student is officially recognized for exceptional performance and character. It is one of the highest honors a middle-level student can earn, going far beyond just having good grades. Congratulations to the following students:

Mark your calendars, as next Friday, October 2nd, we will hold our annual Blessing of the Animals right at 8 a.m. at the Main Campus. All of our students are to be dropped off at the Main Campus (515 Hillcrest Ave), and all families are welcome to bring their pets for a special blessing by Fr. Vincent. Please also bring a donation of dog food, cat food, or pet supplies for the Humane Society of

Alamance County. Thank you.

If you are bringing lunch to your child, please make sure it is labeled with your student's name and grade level and leave it on the table just outside the front door of the school--Do not forget to buzz the office to let us know you dropped by.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
