Elections at BSS

This fall, seventh—and eighth-grade social studies students have been studying the 2024 Presidential Election and how to be responsible, educated voters. Last Tuesday, November, 5th, middle school students participated in a Mock Election as a culmination of this unit on the election process! 🗳 📅

As we have a new president-elect, we pray for him and the upcoming administration🙏

“Let us pray for President-elect Trump, as well as all leaders in public life, that they may rise to meet the responsibilities entrusted to them as they serve our country and those whom they represent. Let us ask for the intercession of our Blessed Mother, the patroness of our nation, that she guide to uphold the common good of all and promote the dignity of the human person, especially the most vulnerable among us, including the unborn, the poor, the stranger, the elderly and infirm, and migrants.” -Most Reverend Timothy P. Broglio of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, and president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)

Eighth grade students, Carter and Danna, represented Blessed Sacrament School at the Mass.

High School Option Fair Success!

It was wonderful to see so many of our alumni at our High School Options Fair, yesterday, Thursday, November 7 right after parent teacher conferences. Our students came back to represent their current high schools and clubs.

Once a Knight, always a Knight! o 💙💛

Dia de los Muertos - Day of the Dead

Earlier this week, our little artists in Pre-K are getting colorful and creative! They're diving into the vibrant world of sugar skulls to celebrate the Day of the Dead! With every stroke of their crayons, they're not just coloring; they're honoring a beautiful tradition that celebrates life and memory. It's a fantastic way for them to learn about culture while having a blast!

Our middle school students worked in Spanish class in creating their Calaveritas de Azucar to set up their traditional altar de muertos at their campus. If you came for the parent teacher conferences, you must have seen them on display this Wednesday & Thursday. Great job, Knights!

Homework

Missing Assignments are the most common reason for low grades. The highest percentage of missing assignments is HOMEWORK. Help your child to be academically successful by creating a routine everyday to check Option C, check planners and complete homework. Create a distraction free, quiet place to focus. Have necessary tools available: pencil, eraser, lined paper, graph paper, note cards, highlighter, scissors. Doing homework at the same time and in the same place daily will establish good habits that will lead to academic success!

  3. If you order any logo items and they are the wrong size, they CANNOT be returned.
  4. Orders are arriving in about a week. So if you need new shirts, you should order them as soon as possible to receive them in time.

Los uniformes de verano comienzan el próximo lunes, 4 de noviembre. Solo algunos recordatorios:

  1. Los artículos de French Toast tienen un tamaño muy diferente al de Lands End. Parece que las tapas son mucho más pequeñas.
