This morning, Friday, September 5, 2025, we celebrated Mass with Fr. Vincent, and it was wonderful. He talked to our students about how God created all things, including the Angels. Did you know that there are Nine Choirs of Angels? Fr. Vincent reminded us all that God created a beautiful day for us to be happy. "Don't let anything sadden you-give it to Jesus."

We would like to give a special thanks to Mrs.Kennedy and the teachers for preparing the students for this week's Mass. The cantors, readers, and altar boys did a great job! 💙💛

During Mass, we had a visit from Police Officer Juarez, who observed our students attending Mass and all of our procedures. Once Mass ended, we practiced a lockdown drill at the Lady of the Angels Center, and the students did a terrific job! We are grateful to the Burlington Police Department for their diligence in ensuring our students and staff are safe. Thank you!

We will continue to pray for the safety of our students, staff, and our school community.📿🙏

Welcome, Fr. Jose!

Right after Mass, Mrs. Gomez and Fr. Vincent introduced us to Fr. Jose Guadalupe! Fr. Jose is originally from Oaxaca, Mexico. He has more than 25 years of service and has been serving God in different parishes across the country; his most recent assignment was in Atlanta, GA. He is very excited for his new post here at our Blessed Sacrament Church Community. Bienvenido Padre Jose!!!

Stock the Lounge for our Teachers!

The 2025-2026 school year is off to a great start! Let's help our faculty and staff keep the momentum going with a few of their favorite snacks! We will have a stock the lounge next week, beginning on Tuesday, September 2nd, and running through the end of the week. This will be taking place at both campuses. 

Here are some examples of our teachers' favorite treats:

Chips, Popcorn, Pretzels, Nuts/Trail Mix, Candy, Chocolate, Granola Bars, Diet/Regular Soda, Sparkling Flavored Waters

Paper products are also great: Plates, Napkins, Dining Utensils 

Parents can drop off donations or send them in with their student.

Blessed Sacrament School is a member of PECSAA (Piedmont Elementary Catholic School Athletic Association). For most sports, students from 5th-8th grade are eligible to participate.  

 Track is open to K-8th grade.

Fall Ballet at BSS/Clases de Ballet este Otoño en BSS

Once again, Miss Jenny and her Le Petit Ballet Co. are coming back to Blessed Sacrament School for after-school ballet dance classes. The 12-week ballet sessions will begin on September 17th and are open to all students, ages PreK through 2nd grade, for both girls and boys.

Middle School Temporary Drop Off and Dismissal Procedures

Due to heavy rains, our middle school parking lot is not finished yet. We pray for the rains to subside as we start our school year. We hope that our parking lot will be finished in the coming month. We will keep you updated of the construction progress.

If you have a child attending 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, please drop off at the back parking lot of the middle school campus. To prevent a traffic bottleneck on S Fisher St, please come to the middle school campus via W Davis St. Here is our temporary drop-off route for middle school families:

For Dismissal, First Presbyterian Church is so kind to allow us to use their parking lot as part of our dismissal route. Please access it via W 5th St, where the Women's Resource Center/Meals on Wheels entrance is, and follow the parking lot until you see one of our teachers to stop. Then, we will let 4-5 cars enter our back parking lot at a time to pick up students, and then you will make a right on Maple Ave., and exit via W Davis St. Here is a map of the route for your reference:

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
