Mass with Fr. Albert

This morning, on Friday, March 20, 2026, we gathered for Mass with Fr. Albert, who shared with our students about our celebration of the Feast of St. Joseph, the husband of our Blessed Virgin Mary, who had a significant role: caring for Jesus. He also mentioned that St. Joseph is a descendant of King David. Later, Fr. Albert recounted the story of how the Prophet Asamul visited Jesse's home, David's father, to inform him that one of his sons was chosen to be the King of Israel. David, a humble boy tending sheep, was surprisingly the one selected by God, as God looks beyond appearances and into the heart. He desires for us to become the best versions of ourselves and to utilize the gifts He has bestowed upon us.

Fr. Albert concluded with a quote from The Little Prince, "What truly matters—like love, friendship, and responsibility—is invisible to the eyes, which only see the surface."

Thank you, Fr. Albert, for sharing those wise words. We also want to express our gratitude to the students, teachers, and staff who prepared for Mass this week.

Wishing good luck to those participating in the track meet on Sunday.

Have a wonderful weekend, Knights!

Knights of Columbus Visits 2nd Grade!

On Monday, March 9th, Mr. Jeff Benes and Mr. Mark Furphy from the Knights of Columbus came to speak to Mrs. Kearney & Mrs. Schorr's 2nd-grade classes. They shared with our students the various ways they support our church community and the school. The students were eager to ask them many questions. At the conclusion of their presentation, each student received a flyer about Troop 9 Scouts and an American flag to take home.

We appreciate your visit and all the wonderful things you do for our school, Knights of Columbus!💙💛

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Last Tuesday, March 17th, we joyfully celebrated St. Patrick's Day with an Out-of-Uniform Day. Students and staff had the opportunity to wear green and were encouraged to bring a can of green beans or boxes of mac & cheese to aid our Blessed Sacrament Church's Little Portion Food Pantry. Below you will see Mrs. Byerly's first-grade students coming in and discovering that a Leprechaun was mischievous and made a mess of their classroom.

A heartfelt thank you to the BSS families who contributed a food item.

Later that day, we also hosted a Dine Out Night Fundraiser at Red Robin. A portion of the sales from that evening will be generously donated to our school. The total amount is $289.12! We are grateful to our BSS families who chose to dine out and to Coach Letvak for assisting us in organizing this fundraiser. Thank you for your continued support of our school!

Elementary School Parking

Just a friendly reminder: If you're late dropping off your child at 515 Hillcrest Ave. Campus, please use our parking lot and walk your child to the entrance. The Burlington Police Department has started issuing parking tickets for vehicles parked after 7:45 am. Hillcrest Avenue is now included in the ABSS School route, and we must keep the street clear since they cannot navigate around your parked vehicle.

If you're coming to drop off lunch, kindly park in our parking lot or across the street from our Elementary School Campus, ensuring you do not block any driveways. The trash truck cannot pass through if your car is parked there during lunch, and you risk receiving a parking ticket as well.
