The start of Fall this year falls on Sunday, September 22nd and we already see the temperatures changing! Here at Blessed Sacrament School, students are working hard in all of their subjects. Next Monday, September 23rd, Blessed Sacrament School turns 89 and we will celebrate it with an Out-of-Uniform Day and cake! Students, faculty & staff are welcome to wear a birthday hat for the celebration! Please bring a box of cereal or any food item for the pantry. Middle School students and staff will gather at the Main Campus at 1:30 pm to celebrate. Parents are welcome to attend the event! This Week’s Executive Functioning Tip: Progress NOT perfection! Take notice when even the smallest strides begin to emerge. Look for and acknowledge organizational feats, chore initiative/completion, self-advocacy, and prioritization. Do not expect perfection, rather appreciate progress. This Friday, September 20th, at 11am, our 8th grade class went to lunch at Bakes and Bites. The students enjoyed walking to the downtown area. Thank you Mrs. Bost for making this happen for the students and sharing the picture!

Oktoberfest 2024

Oktoberfest is upon us! It will be held on Saturday, October 26th from 5:00-8:30. We will be at the Elementary campus, 515 Hillcrest Avenue, on the back lawn. Oktoberfest is a fun event that we look forward to every year, but does require a lot of volunteer help. Please look over our sign-ups and consider donating some of your time to ensure our kids have a great Oktoberfest experience! Everyone us welcome!

ABSS High School Options Fair

On Saturday, October 5th, ABSS will host the annual High School Options Fair from 9 am until 12 PM at Holly Hill Mall in Burlington. The event is free and open to all Alamance County families with students. 

Come by to learn more about the Alamance-Burlington International Baccalaureate program, Fire Academy, EMT Academy, Public Safety Academy, the AIMS Academy for Advanced Integrated Math & Science, the Alamance-Burlington Early College at Alamance Community College, the Pre-Collegiate Academy, the Alamance Virtual School, the Teacher Scholars program, many Career and Technical Education options, and how students can earn college credits while still in high school with Alamance Community College and Elon University.

Summer Uniforms

Friendly reminder, we will be wearing our Summer Uniforms once we start the new school year!

Summer uniforms begin next Wednesday, August 21. Just a few reminders:

1. French Toast items run very differently in sizing from Lands End. Sounds like the tops are much smaller.
2. Review our Uniform Guidelines by CLICKING HERE.
3. If you order any logo items and they are the wrong size, they CANNOT be returned.
4. Orders are arriving in about a week. So if you need new shirts, you should order them as soon as possible to receive them in time.
5. Graham Sporting Goods is the ONLY provider of PE shirts. French Toast will not be offering them.

PE Uniforms:

You can still purchase PE uniforms locally at Graham Sporting Goods. They have yellow PE shirts, solid sweatpants, and zip-up jackets. You do NOT have to get the logo on the sweatpants, but it must be on the jacket and sweatshirt.

PE pants need to be solid navy. There should not be any lines down the sides or decals on them.
