Congratulations Brother Edgar! | | |
This morning, Friday, April 24, we gathered to celebrate School Mass with Brother Edgar and Fr. Vincent. Brother Edgar shared with our students about how we are still in the Easter season and recounted the biblical story of Saul. Saul of Tarsus, a fervent Pharisee and persecutor of the early Christians, underwent a remarkable transformation into the Apostle Paul following a profound encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus. At first, Saul aimed to dismantle the church, but his unexpected conversion turned him into a key Christian missionary and the author of a significant portion of the New Testament.
| |
Immediately after Mass, Mrs. Gomez invited all our students to present cards to Brother Edgar and gifted him a Chalice and a Paten engraved with his name as he prepares for his ordination to the priesthood at Blessed Sacrament Church tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, at 11 am. God bless you, Brother Edgar! We wish you great success as you begin this new chapter of your life in service to God and the church 💙💛
The students performed wonderfully during Mass today. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our teachers who prepared the students this week. Excellent work, readers, cantors, and altar attendants.

We are excited to announce that our Superintendent of Schools from the Diocese of Raleigh and SmartLab representatives will be joining us. We sincerely hope you can attend and enjoy the performance! CLICK HERE for all of the details. PRESIONE AQUÍ para los detalles en español.

Fourth Graders Visit the Alpaca Farm
On Wednesday, April 22nd, fourth-grade students visited Raynay Alpaca Farm. Students learned about different species of the Camelid family, how Alpacas are prey animals, as well as the many uses of the fibers that are sheared off of the Alpacas each year. Students were also able to learn about the complete process of making items from Alpaca fiber from the shearing process to the dyeing process. This was a great experience for our students!

Elementary School Parking
Just a friendly reminder: If you're late dropping off your child at 515 Hillcrest Ave. Campus, please use our parking lot and walk your child to the entrance. The Burlington Police Department has started issuing parking tickets for vehicles parked after 7:45 am. Hillcrest Avenue is now included in the ABSS School route, and we must keep the street clear since they cannot navigate around your parked vehicle.
If you're coming to drop off lunch, kindly park in our parking lot or across the street from our Elementary School Campus, ensuring you do not block any driveways. The trash truck cannot pass through if your car is parked there during lunch, and you risk receiving a parking ticket as well.
| | |
